    Waiting to hear from a friend who was running today. :( How awful!

    This is why I prefer the company of animals to humans... Humans are so effed up.

    my mom is there right now... (and finished a half hour or so ago)
    thankfully, i am in contact with her, but i am so nervous now.

    Glad to hear you're in contact with her and she's ok!

    update: she literally just texted me and asked me what it was...
    she finished maybe 15 minutes before she heard the explosions
    this is so nerve-wrecking :(
    15 miinutes?? Thank God she had finished when she did.

    Yeah, so maybe a good idea to NOT keep telling people that.... Seriously. I can't even believe some of the crap I am reading about this ALREADY. :noway:

    Newtown families were in the VIP area but there are no reports. The 26th mile was a Newtown memorial mile.

    Have a friend who was running but he and his family are okay. He's not sure about his charity's rooting section yet, though.

    WHDH is reporting there was a fire at the JFK Library moments after the explosions. They're not saying it's related or not though but it complicates the response.
