If you're ever bored, and want to practice, try this game. It can be challenging even for us Yanks ;-)

I'm even worse, I know every state and most of the airport codes for each state, but then again that's part of my job

learned all the states in alphabetical order in a song in about 4th grade...can still sing it....and yes, its been my silly bar trick more than once

I did too but sadly I forgot it.

I have a friend who remembers the song and come to think of it I was supposed to memorize it for the next time I saw her which will be very soon. :grumble:

This is the song I learned back in grade school. Pretty much the only way I can still remember all of the states to this day.

In Canada you learn the ten provinces and their capitals at a low grade in elementary.
I forget exactly what grade it is.

Hm...well I'm sure I could stumble my way thruogh all 50 states. I learned that in 4th grade, and it was never touched upon again.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste....Mine feels like jelly..

I can name them, but I do have trouble picking some of them out on a blank map.

I still remember the 50 States song I learned in 5th grade. The problem now is that, if I want to remember all of them, I have to sing it to myself and I feel like a dork.

I learned the same song! -- in alphabetical order.

I also learned a song for all the presidents in order. Killed the curve on an extra credit question in high school history. ;)

As an English lass I could probably name most of the counties in England if I was given enough time but but would be seriously bad at the Scottish and Welsh ones!

This one's pretty fun. We sang it in 6th grade chorus.

82.35 with an average error of 56 miles. Pretty similar to yours :) No way I could do that for the capitals, though

ETA: Being from the north-east helps me a bit, I think :P
