Please read the link I posted. It explains it. A lot of what you're posting are myths. The medical reasons for what happens & why are set out.0

Yes, it's normal.
Madonna has a very low body fat in that pictures, and she's 50+ isn't she? I doubt she lifts weights. However, lets not "body shame" her either.0 -
Anyone have an explanation for this?
Ever since I really started working out pretty hard, my arms and legs (particularly forearms and lower legs) have bulging veins. They are definitely more prominent while lifting, but still are visible when I am not.
What is the reasoning for this? Is this normal?
Not sure if serious. Post pictures.
Not while lifting, but here is a pic of the veins in my forearm... they get more pronounced when lifting....

I'm not a fan of the vascular look (not that people can control that LOL). I have recently realized that I am quite vascular. And they are really obvious when I'm lifting. Ah well. I'm starting to embrace it as showing all the hard work I've been doing!0

I know - I have been doing this for a while and have really noticed the veins since the weight loss and since upping my strength training.... They aren't that bad while I am not lifting, but they really become more pronounced while at the gym...!0

I've always had veins close to the surface. With my pale skin, my chest looks like a road map LOL. But, now the ones on my arms are quite prominent, and bulge when lifting.0

Exactly! Although, I was never veiny before ...but now they bulge... my lower legs, too! ... and then there is one going from my shoulder, through my bicep, and down to my elbow..... I think its lifting inspired stress, or something?0

Oh ...eww! Is that real?0 -
Go see your doctor before your veins expload
Sarcasm was not my request - I was looking for honesty.0 -
It happens. I think it's more a matter of your body temperature and body fat level than anything but lifting does make them bigger. Don't worry. People will be too busy admiring your muscles to care.0 -
Part of it has to do with your body and veins them selves. Some people have shallower located veins and some have deeper veins. I myself have deep veins except in my hands.0

Thanks .... is this a positive thing? For women? I see a little of it on my lower legs, as well - not sure if i like it... but don't want to back off on lifting, as I have other positive results....0 -

Of course it is for any gender. Increased blood flow to your muscles = increased performance.0 -
