At the original source you can also see what everything costs. What's funny is that the very stoic looking German family also spends more on food than any of the others, about $500 a week. The family from North Carolina pictured in the original post spends about $300 a week on food, which is crazy. Our family of four spends about $150, there is another American family on the Time photo essay that clocks in at $150.

I was about to call BS at first on the British photo cause I didn't see the Weetabix. Also seeing their Mars which is called Milky way in the US, made me smile.
No, Mars are Mars and Milky Ways are Milky Ways, made by Mars, in both countries.
Are from the US or UK? Cause anyone who lived in both countries knows exactly what I was talking about. Anyways, I'll assume you aren't trolling and give you links to the Mars = Milky way.
