I wanted to share this recipe with you - which my gym shared with me (they're good like that!)
150g Egg White (I use 2 Chicks Egg White so don't have to mess around)
30g flaxseed
1 scoop protein powder (mine is USN Diet Fuel Vanilla, although any will do)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
30g walnuts
30g apricots
Makes approx. 10.
(I put mine in a rectangular silicone mould so no need to grease and cut into squares, although I doubled the quantities so I got 20, but you could cut even smaller if you wanted just bitesize pieces)
Mix all ingredients together, bake for 10-15 mins on 180c or until golden.
65 cals
3.5g carbs
4.1g protein
3.6g fat
Source of Vit A, C, Calcium & Iron
If you want fat free leave out the walnuts, carb free - leave out the apricots.
Can substitute for almonds, dates etc.
Great little snack for when you just need something cake related!
