I'd love to know how people can think like they can't do it anymore. I'm yet to have a day where I'm wanting to give up. I guess it comes down to who is strong & who is not.

Its great that you haven't had doubts. I couldn't disagree more though. It has nothing to do with strength especially when we don't have doubts. Its about honesty and courage for many of us. True strength would be having the doubts and being able to persevere in spite of them, and since most of us aren't perfect and we have our low days and high days, we can share what has worked for each other in those cases.

Wow! Thank you so much! I should have clarified I was not having one of those moments thankfully. I am doing research because I have been down this road before and have inevitably had those days. I expect them and I am just looking for a toolkit I can use when I am in that moment.

    Great ideas everyone!

    Les

yes, i definitely got that from the OP, you weren't speaking specifically about you, and it's a fantastic idea.
we should and must all do our own research to find out why we quit in the past, what wasn't working. or
why it IS working now? all of that is specific to the person and will be different even as that person goes through changes
    or gets older.

I had one of the worst weeks in years last week. i was utterly depressed. but....
by some miracle or luck and with the help of the fantastic support on here
I could talk it out, and I avoided my old behaviors of emotional over eating.
that feels like a miracle to me. at no time did i want to change my eating
or not workout. i love my workouts so much. they help me de-stress, they are often
the highlight of my day, and make me feel proud.
even if it's a bad day, at least i've done my workout, and done my best.
even better if you can get the workout done n the am, so it
fuels your whole day. but a late night punching bag session to
get out the day's frustration,, can't be beat either :)
