Any Cleanse Recommendations?

Hi all! I was totally on track and then let myself fall into the fast food trap with a busy season of school and baseball and now I'm just feeling really gross and blah. I've done cleanses before but it's been a while and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of what is out there now.

    Raw food cleanse. Eat nothing but raw fruits, veggies, and unseasoned nuts/seeds for 10 days. It will make your skin glow, flush out your digestive system, and you can basically eat as much as you want! Does wonder for me, I do it every 2 months.

    I involuntarily cleanse on the first two days of my period. My body flushes out everything.......

    Cleanses don't work btw.

    Cleanses work to flush out excess water weight and give your kidneys/liver a rejuvinating break. :)

    That's a little unfair to my heart, brain, and lungs that work so hard and never get a break.

    Don't bother with cleanses. They are a waste of time and money.

    Your body is a wonderful machine. It is built in a way that it cleanses itself everyday. There are organs that do that for you so provided you have functioning kidneys and liver you don't need to cleanse.

    Just eat fresh foods (fresh veggies, fruits, lean meats) and get enough water, fiber and good fats and you are fine. Your body doesn't store toxins or need to detox or cleanse.

    look, i know what you mean. sometimes, after a prolonged period of bad eating, and some excess drinking, i feel like i need a cleanse myself.

    just start eating healthier. get more water in, because you are probably dehydrated. you probably feel all blah from all the greasy fried foods, and all the sodium from take out.

    The best cleanse you can do is to just start tracking your calories and try to eat more whole foods and less processed junk. Cleanses are snake oil.

    My recommendation is that you start eating healthily and not waste your time with a ~cleanse~.

    When I'm feeling blah I just drink extra water and some green tea (just because I like it not because I think it's "cleansing" me). Stay away from greasy foods for awhile and you'll feel much better.

    Eat raw fruit, veggies, seeds, nuts and drink lots of water every day because it's healthy; not because you want to "cleanse". You're already cleansing. Try taking out your liver and kidneys and see what kinda "toxins" you get.

    If you just eat healthy food from now on your body will naturally cleans itself in a much healthier and natural fashion.

    Here's a recipe that I use every now and then to help my body detox. Helps with weight loss as well, especially when you are close to losing those "final five"... (The lady I received this from called it a "liver kick" :drinker:)

    - 1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon or grapefruit juice
    - 1 inch raw ginger
    - 1 clove garlic
    - 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

    I think she recommended using a juicer, but I just throw the above items in a blender. It doesn't taste as weird as it sounds.

    "but wait, isn't it better just to eat the raw fruits/veggies?!" Yeah, you can do that too/instead if you like. Let's not get that argument started lol.

    Just an opinion/idea. I love fresh juice.

    This is truth to this.

    If one cleanses the digestive system - a system designated as imperative for the basic act of living - why not cleanse your heart? Your lungs?

    What would you suggest if I wanted to give them a cleanse? A break? How long should I stop breathing for?

    I use Vim with bleach for cleansing. It removes stains and leaves a fresh scent.

    My docotor said she finds people have digestive issues after a cleans. She told me to eat more vegetables and drink more water instead!

    Vodka Purge ...this is easier to do with Jagermeister since it tastes so vile, but vodka is clear, therefore "clean".
