    Isn't there one that they actually make from bugs? I believe they were being used in starbucks for some of their frozen stuff.

    Always a good idea to check labels if you have food restrictions, of course, but I was reporting what the sites I named said. And for what it's worth, this site says that these days, red food colorings are almost always vegan: http://www.isitvegan.com/2012/02/21/is-red-food-coloring-vegan/

    I'll have to try these! I love the Red Velvet pop tarts.....only ate one yes half a pack.....and the box is still sitting on my desk next to my bed! I'm still not sharing!

    I checked the Pop Tart Facebook just to be sure, they are, but they probably haven't spread out to everyone yet.
