Sounds great! Another one that is also good...

Use frozen Vita-Tops (chocolate) and cut them in half down the side. Fill them with the cool whip and freeze. Yum!

Made these for Mother's Day... everyone loved them. Enjoy!

    **Skinny Ice Cream Sandwiches**

    --Ingredients--
    - 24 graham crackers
    - small container cool whip free
    - fresh strawberries (8-12) chopped small

    Directions
    1. Blend cool whip and strawberries
    2. Apply a thick coat to gram crackers and make sandwich, don't smoosh down
    3. Freeze, and enjoy!

Makes 12 sandwiches... approx 95 calories each.

    .

Oh my word. Ignore all the comments about it not being icecream. It is not an actual ice cream sandwich, no, but it is just someone's version of one, and sounds tastey. If someone doesn't like a thread, why can't they just ignore it?! I will be making these :-)

I'd use regular Cool Whip, but these sound delicious.

^ because either something is what it is...or it's not. You gotta draw the line somewhere. I've already been letting that unfried chimichanga thread go forever but this is NOT ice cream. I realize this is not a punishable offense as a thread, but I guess maybe the mod's thought they could rely on some common sense of certain things just holding true. Like if you see a thread talking about a recipe for cake, you won't open it to find instructions on a hamburger.

I know what frozen cool whip tastes like, it doesn't taste like ice cream. It's good, but it's not ice cream. That's all. No biggie, just maybe the name should be something more like Skinny Creamy Freezer Sandwiches. OR how about this. Skinny Frozen Cool Whip Sandwiches. :flowerforyou:

Let me say this first: That does sound like it would taste pretty good. That is NOT however, in any way, an ice cream sandwich. There's a complete lack of ice cream.

    My thoughts exactly.

Edit: Funny thing is.....I LOVE ICE CREAM.....Dont Care For Cool Whip AT ALL

And why would you substitute ice cream out of anything?

I'd swap the graham crackers out of that before anything else. Maybe for pop tarts.
