Sorry is sometimes just to try and make the other person feel better.

I mean, if I "finish" too early when I'm with a woman, I say "Sorry, sorry" but what I really want to say is "nice, can you go make me a sandwich while I smoke this cigarette!".

I just don't really care how it affects you, I just care enough to pretend that I do so hopefully, you'll let me do it to you again (and I can say I'm sorry, again!)

I knew the "I'm sorry" afterward was code for something else.

    Just like "yes dear"

As a Canadian, I DO believe in apologizing for everything, including posting in this thread. Sorry.
As a fellow Canadian, I must apologize for the generalization about Canadians apologizing for everything. Sorry.

I apologize for everything. My boyfriend gets annoyed. Then I apologize for it. :ohwell: Am I Canadian inside?

Sorry to have to ask you these questions but if you are a Canadian inside, you will understand.

Do you know how to build an igloo? With or without vent holes?
Do you wear a hockey helmet well?
Do you know what poutine is? Have you ever tried it?
Do you know what the national sport of Canada is? Hint: it is not hockey!

    Good day, eh?

I'm sorry you're not an inner Canadian. Not everyone is cut out to live in an igloo for 6 months of the year and that's not a bad thing.

Seriously! If you built it right in September, it should last until June.

I'm a Brit. We're genetically programmed to apologize for everything, in order to make up for a couple of centuries of imperialism.

What I say - "Sorry I stood on your toe."

What I really mean - "Sorry we invaded your country, subjugated the population, put you under imperial rule, taxed you to death with no representation, stole your natural resources, exploited local labor, and were generally ****ty to everyone. Our bad."

People who say sorry for everything.. WELL.......
SGOULD OF , WOULD'OF, COULD OF - LAST 3 WORDS OF A FOOL.

Be yourself, only apologize if you believe in the apology.

do it - I CHALLENGE YOU. :flowerforyou:

I'm no mathematician, but I believe not only is "should of, would of, could of" not grammatically correct, it is 6 words, not 3. Although I have not checked my calculator, or abacus...or fingers

Regardless, I do say that I am sorry a lot, but in my defense, I mean it most of the time.

I might be a British Canadian, eh ol' chap?
