Eating potatoes could kill me. No, seriously. I'm allergic. You cannot imagine how many packaged, canned, and frozen foods and bread products get potato starch added to them.0
-
I have no problem eating any kind of food in moderation
Unless you have an actual health issue such as allergies, lactose intolerant, high blood pressure etc then you should be able to enjoy anything you want as long as you plan and proportion it out0 -
Half a baked potato topped with salsa! Yum and not bad for ya.0

White potatoes have been recently villified. Yes, you don't need to eat a huge potato every day, or multiple in a day. But they have nutrition (especially if you eat the skin), and are delicious.0

Wow seriously guys calm the heck down. My bad. I try to stay away from having a lot of potatoes. But I love what they make. So instead of having potatoes every other day, these are alternatives. Don't get your panties in a bunch because I said I dont find potatoes healthy all the time. Good lord. If you disagree cool, no need to smash my ideas.0

Blasphemy! The only alternative to potatoes is potatoes.
I was just about to say that!0 -

Seems everyone is fairly calm. Just mostly disagreeing with you.0 -
... But as we all know, they aren't exactly healthy for us to have very often....
Huh?
I thought about extolling the micronutrient virtues of potatoes then decided I'd rather let you think they're unhealthy.
More for me. I'll eat ALL THE POTATOES.

It's not really disagreement. You're just wrong.0 -
for those of us removing white food products from our diet for blood sugar reason and others, they do sound good. I think you are in for a lot of flack though.0

I love white potatoes. But as we all know, they aren't exactly healthy for us to have very often. So below, I have a few links to change up those white potato recipes with something a little better for that waistline(:

Nothing says you can't bake white potato fries just the same... Chop into fry-like shapes and sizes, toss in a table of oil, sprinkle salt and pepper (or rosemary or oregano, or whatever...) and bake just like you'd do with sweet potatoes. Works great.
