The fact that we can't think of any kind of says something though. Maybe bring him 2 sandwiches

Run by Snow Patrol, covered by Leona Lewis.

ETA: I covered "If You Remember Me" originally done by Chris Thompson on my album, and it was pretty good. I sing "guy songs" all the time...Jason Mraz, Michael Buble, The Killers, Jet, The Beatles, etc.

Also, your "friend" sounds like a douche.

The ultimate song originally done by men that was redone much better by a woman: Crimson and Clover - originally by Tommy James and the Shondells, redone by Joan Jett.

instead of trying to prove a point, why not just dump him as a friend? He sounds like SUCH an amazing person, and I'm sure you'll miss his endearing attitude, but I'm sure you'll live.

kd lang's "Halleluja", a cover even Leonard Cohen, who wrote and performed the song, said that he couldn't match and was his favourite of all the covers ever done f that song. kd does a lot of covers originally done by men. She kills it every time. Try "Helpless" or "After the Gold Rush" by Neil Young. Her voice makes me shiver, and if I weren't married to the man of my dreams, I'd marry her just for her angelic voice. :)

Not famous but our friend does an amazing version of Simple Man, usually just at parties with a guitar. I love her version so much, I asked her to sing it at our wedding, along with Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. I loved the female voice for both. There are some videos of others on YouTube doing them.
