Here is our new chart. Lets keep on bringing it this week. I am going to do everything I can think of to keep losing.
I will ask myself if I am really hungry before eating.
I will stop eating at 8 p.m. No excuses!
I will exercise every morning 6 days of the week.
What are you going to do?

-
I would love to join you all! I'm pmaria and I currently weigh about 176 my goal is 150.0

Monday weigh ins are axactly what I was looking for, I would love to join your group. I have a funky weight this week because of the holiday weekend so I suspect I will have a fairly significant weight loss this week, but here we go! Starting weight is 212 lbs. I will not cheat this week. I will work on water intake and will workout 3 days this week!
Randi (aka OnMyWeigh)0 -
Hi Guys! Hoping to re-join you next week!
Keep up the great work!0 -
Hello, I would like to join your group. My current weight is 153. My goal weight is 120. I would like to lose 10 lbs by my family reunion on July 10th. My goals this months is to eat more vegetables and drink more water. Also to burn more than 1500 calories working out a week by working out 5 days a week.0
-
Howdy blue team, and welcome to new members.
Crystalfordham - You can lose 10 lbs, but also make sure you get measurements, as you might lose inches and not weight at some point in next 1.5 months.
Maneyes - It's usually better to take your weight in the mornings, after morning activities Your probably the lightest and it would be the most accurate. In the evening, you still have all the food and water that you ate during the day.
pmaria10 - We all can do this. Remember it's a healthy lifestyle journey and not a diet.
OnMyWeigh - We found monday weigh in's kept us more accountable over the weekend. Previously we would have a good weigh in on Friday, some of us would screw up the weekend, and then have to work all week to get it back down to the previous week.
Deb - WTG - It feels great when your lifting the weights, and feeling stronger - Make sure you use the charts - I found myself looking back and saw that I did 10 reps previously, it felt real good when I pushed 12 or 15 reps next time.
Deb eating past 8pm might not be bad, depending on your day and how much and what you've had to eat.
Remember 5-6 smaller meals will work well.
With the nice weather, I was out again last night and this morning - Finished another 6km walk/jog.
Then made myself a nice western egg white omelette - I think my new favorite breakfast.
- I'm at 18kms this week, so I think I'll make sure that I get 12 more kms in by the end of the week and know that I jogged/walked 30 kms this week.
- I will try to cut out more carbs this week as well.
Have a great day.0 -
Peter thanks for the advice. I have been writing all my reps down, and steadily pushing the limit. I hope to use the 12 lb weights more next time I do shoulders and arms! I will allow myself to eat after 8 if I have not had enough calories for the day, however that is a very rare thing and I find that if I am night eating it is bad for me anyway so I am trying to cut it all out.
Welcome newbies! I am glad to see interest in our group. I will get all of you on the chart next week--send me your weights Monday morning!
Chrissy we miss you! Good luck with your training. Hope to see more (or less ) of you soon!0 -
I would very much like to join! my current weight is 150 and my goal is 1250
-
Hi all just checkin in fixin to go eat dinner with my neice and mom0
-
Whew, I just got home from doing groceries with hubby. Today was a really active day for me and I went to Central park and used the baby jogger for the first time. I ran 35 minutes without stopping with baby stroller, which is an improvement from last times 30 minutes. There were other parents with strollers there, and that made me feel even more motivated. I then parked the car really far away, and didn't calculate the distance back so had to walk 90 minutes to get to the car. Then I met up with hubby after work and went to Whole foods to eat there and get some things. Before leaving the house I also did 59 minutes of P90X Shoulders and Arms and 15 minutes of Ab ripper x. I'm really tired today- I've never walked for that long. Yesterday I got the Shape Ups sneakers and haven't really used them too much yet, but I'm planning to use them when I'm at the mall or walking around parks. I hope they work like they advertise.
I'll catch up with posts tomorrow- it will be a less intense day for me.
Great job everybody on pushing through!0 -
Mayra you go girl! I can imagine why you were tired! I think I over did just upping my weights with shoulders and arms--my neck has been sore...
I was going to run on the treadmill instead of yoga today but I missed a sock coming down to exercise, I will do yoga as my time is getting short... Nothing like letting external things effect my life... Have a great day!
smadag It is great to hear from you, hows the driving training and stuff? Hope everything is going well!0 -
The drive was soooooo long and I got pulled over but got let go with a warning because I was heading to a funeral and still had several hours of driving ahead of me. Lexi slept most of the way, she rides so good.
I will try to get as many walks in that I can with my cousin plus we have the walk for the cure next weekend plus I signed up for another 5k the following weekend it is also a breastcancer support walk I joined Team underwires Proud to wear pink they have such cool shirts and hoodies0 -
Sorry I'm not posting much this week. I have some personal stuff going on.
I'm still trying to get my exercise in even though I DON'T want too (and rather call into work and veg out eating chocolate!). But I'm here, just reading for right now.
Sounds like everybody is doing well, Mayra, are you super woman??? You go girl!
Smadag, sorry about the pull over, but glad you didn't get a ticket.0 -
Thanks for that tip.
My starting weight is 181. My current weight is 180. I would like to reach 135.0 -
I did fairly well yesterday and it would have been excellent if it hadn't been for the slice of cake I was obligated to eat. When you receive an entire cake as a thank you from an 82 yr old woman you can't not have a piece. Anyway, did the BL cardio max level 1 last night and feel great. I LOVE that DVD.0
-
smadag, I am glad you were able to avoid a ticket. I hate getting pulled over!
Onmyweigh, I don't think a piece of cake will hurt your efforts--stopping at one piece of cake probably wouldn't have happened for me and that is when you get in trouble! :noway:
I went to costco and stocked up on vegies today. Yum. I ate sweet peas for lunch...so good. Now I just need to eat the rest of my lunch... Not hungry though. It was dd last day of school for the summer today. It will be nice to have the summer to do fun things!
I also went for a 15 minute bike ride. It is nice to get out--I figured that partially made up for my lack of exercise this morning!
Have a great one!0 -
Just ngot back from an 80 minutes walk with my cousin. I am going to try to go jogging tonight but my leggs might argue with me about that right now.
I read something Chrissy posted and it gave me an idea a daily or weekly challange. I am not sure about the details yet but I will let you know what I come up with
I am going to have lunch with family tomorrow at our favorite mexican place I will make sure to double up on my water after words0 -
Welcome to all the newbies, this is a great group of people here. We are encouraging, positive, and basically are all doing this together!
Thank you all for the support. I'm feeling pretty good, overall with my fitness. I went shopping today for some outfits for upcoming interviews. I walked at the mall for 5 hours I'm sure, and I also did kenpox earlier today for another 58 minuets. I also splurged today and ordered the Polar ft7 HRM.
I got free shipping and a free ipod arm brace. It will be interesting to see how much I burn with the running and the walking that I just added to my exercise routine...and the Insanity..P90x...lol.
Here's the site where I ordered the HRM from: http://www.heartratemonitorsusa.com/
I'm beat, again, and am just going to unwind. Also need to catch up on posts! Take care everyone, and great job pushing it today!!0 -
I would like to join. I need something to keep me accountable on weekends
Especially this weekend. Weddings are horrible for eating properly
Last weigh-in I was 150, so I guess I'll check back in on Monday.0 -
Peter- Way to go on your workout and that egg omelet sounds so yummy.
smadag- Glad nothing major happened when you were pulled over. Way to go on the walking, I've been walking this week and I have gotten some good burns on my legs. I saw that you signed up for races- awesome Job. I'm doing my first race this father's day on central park. It's a 5M race and I'm currently training for it.
Chrissy- Can't wait to hear how your running training is going!!!
Debnu- I use different weights for different strength moves. I just look at the weights Tony is using, he usually says outloud the amount he is using, and I estimate what I would use. My highest weight currently is a 10lb dumbell, but I'm going to increase that weight to 15 or so...I'll be going to buy it soon.
Fawkes- Things happen in our day to day life, don't feel bad. Just continue on from where you left off, and I know you will do great!!!
Everyone else, wish you a great day, and awesome job on living a healthy lifestyle.
Okay, speaking of my goals this week. I seem to be doing really well with exercise and have found the motivation to do it but I'm sabotaging myself when people invite me to go to a restaurant. I almost think I'm entitled to splurge because I've worked out so hard. But it doesn't' have to be this way. I can still eat healthy while eating out, and when dessert time comes, instead of ordering one, I can ask for an extra spoon so I can have a taste. I got some of these tips from msh's feed. Also, for my 22 month old, I shouldn't be ordering full meals for her, because she never eats them, and I end up eating them, so as not to waste money. She can eat from my plate, and another tip was to have the waiter give you a storage plate, so you split up your meal into 2, right when it's served, and only eat half... Whew...sorry for the long post.0 -
Mayra, I use a variety of weights, so I only used the 12 lbs for a few exercises. I am keeping track too so I know what was easy for me last time. I actually think I have been sitting at the computer too much again as it is the same shoulder/neck pain that I have had before.
veritas, welcome!! You will love our group!
I feel as though it has been a week of bad news--Three major bad events all about people I love. :brokenheart: It has made my resolve waver a little bit. However I also am becoming more resolved. I have realized that I am addicted to sugar. I really need to irradicate it for a while so I can not be so dependant! I also want to start to eat cleaner. It isn't going to be easy, but I am wanting to try.
If you can send a prayer out for my family.
Thanks everyone for being such a wonderful support! You are why I keep coming back!:flowerforyou:0 -
Deb- You can do whatever you put your mind to, I am sure of that! If you are ready to get rid of sugar, then do it. There are tons of alternatives and great recipes that don't include sugar. Our minds are a powerful thing! One day at a time girl!0
-
Hey all,
Deb - Tony says the neck gets used in exercises a lot more than we think. Don't strain yourself too much getting that last rep. Not sure of your reps/weights, but I would suggest your doing 15 reps before you up your weight.
I also get a "muscle tightness" in my shoulders/neck sometimes, and I think it has a lot to do with the arm position when using the mouse.
Sending prayers for your loved ones.:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
.Mayra - you can do this. Change your mindset at the restaurant. We all go in and order the $7,95-$14.95 meals with a drink, sometimes appetizer, and dessert. Next thing we know it's a $50 bill, and we feel good because we ate a lot of food.
I've gone in and ordered soup and salad. It's fuel for body, not a place to load up in sugar and fat. Sharing meals is great. I've taken home stuff when I ordered something not so good hehehe It's better to enjoy that bad meal twice at a good serving, than feel we have to finish the plate at the restaurant and not waste the delicious food (I've been there, done it, mom taught me to never leave food on my plate, and as an adult, it continues, so I make my plates smaller.lol
Your going to a restaurant with people to socialize. Other people might not eat healthy, but that doesn't mean we have to join them.
Edit: Oh yah, I got another 6kms in last night and today. 6 more to go. Bought some chicken breasts yesterday on sale, $5.00 for 4 chicken breasts on bone, Been marinating them over night, 2 with Jerk seasoning, and 2 with other spices.Mmmmmmmmmm
I'm off to BBQ them. This 50% protein is interesting so far.0 -
Good food for thought Peter. I have a hard time walking away from food on my plate at restaurants as well. I'm not a big leftover eater. My husband on the other hand, usually takes them for lunch, maybe I will think about that more often when I eat out.
I get that tightness in my right shoulder as well. I call it my "data entry knot". I used to get it really bad every Friday when I did payroll but now I only get it occassionally when I am working on a big project. I try to keep it loose with stretches when I know I'm going to be mousing alot.0 -
I definitely am of the don't waste food mentality--I even lick the serving spoons! I will have to ponder that.
I am up to 15 reps for 10 lbs, that is why I moved it up. I think I just fought a little too hard for one more--I also know that I tend to lean to my left side when on the computer or sitting for a long time. I just prop myself up with my elbow. I know that I do it, I just need to not do it. Easier said than done!
Enjoy your chicken Peter, it sounds really good. We are smoking Salmon and baby back ribs for dinner tonight. Mmmmmm. The salmon is so good! I am salivating just thinking of it!
Have a great day everyone!0 -
HI all,
I'm really exhausted again today. I think I'm going to finish drinking my water for today and go to bed...I'm afraid I'll start snacking on things. I got the Polar Ft7 HRM, and I'm going to read through the manual so I can get how to use it. It arrived pretty fast, free shipping next day. Today I did P90X Legs and Back and Ab ripper x for 73 minutes, and also walked for 3 hours running errands and shopping.
Debnu- I would stretch the part that hurts and don't overdo it on the weight if you feel pain. I will keep your family in my prayers!
Peter- Your chicken sounds yummy. Bon apetite!
Take care all!!0 -
Wish me luck I start my driving training tomorrow. I will check in as often as I can0
-
Today was rest or stretch x day for me and I just walked about 30-40 minutes today while running around going places. Tomorrow I start my 8th week of P90X which is recovery week....aggh...I really like the regular weeks where I get to lift weights, but here we go.
take care all!!!0 -
Hi all,
I'm just getting things settled in at home before my summer semester starts next week. Just running errands and doing last minute shopping. I still have to catch up on posts, but I see that you are pushing it each day and giving it your best. This morning I ran outside near where I live for 40 minutes, which is an improvement from last time's 35 minutes. I then walked at a nearby park for 80 minutes and came home to eat. Today is week 8 of P90X and its' yoga day, but laundry needs to be done, so I might just do laundry and wear my HRM while doing it and just add "light cleaning" to my exercise along with the calories burned. By the way, like some of you have mentioned, while wearing my HRM during this morning's workout the calories came out to more than the calories MFP calculated for me. Cool!! I have another job interview tomorrow, and I hope they keep coming. Take care all!!!0
