Live your life in such a way that, at the end, you remember all that you did, not regret what you didn't do.

I have two. The first is from John F. Kennedy: "Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names."
The second is from my mom: "You can't live your life for other people. Do what makes you happy."

My dad always said "It takes twice as long to do it wrong."

What he of course meant was that if you take shortcuts the first time, you'll probably have to redo things and thus negate that extra time/effort you "saved". A great lesson on weight loss (as well as a directive to read instructions before assembly).

May your words today be sweet and tender, for tomorrow you may have to eat them.

Breathe in peace, breathe out love.

(for parenting moments) Make the consequence fit the crime. and Consequences should punish the child, not the parent.

    Garbage In, Garbage Out.

The day my Grandfather moved out of my great-grandfather's house to live on his own my great-grandfather said "Son, if you ever need a helping hand its on the end of your arm"

My other grandfather says "No one ever drowned on their own sweat"
