I'm going food shopping in a bit, and I'm in a bit of a rut. I get the same foods every time, and though they are tasty, good for me, and low in calorie, I'm getting a bored.

Give me your top three healthy picks at the food store!!!

Part skim Mozzarella cheese sticks, almonds unsalted, and eggs! I absolutely must have these in my cart every time, the almonds and the cheese sticks are great snacks post work-out because they have protein punch.

Little cups of fruit (packed in juice not syrup) or applesauce. They're great snacks for work.

I always go straight for the fruit on clearance - I've got so many good finds there, like big boxes of oranges, mangos or peaches (today I got a 10-pack of peaches and nectarines for £1.95).

Eggs, I only eat the whites though, and rice cakes with lite cream cheese, yum! I really like these as they come in many different flavours, depending on your mood :)

Watermelon, apples, carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, chickpeas, raw almonds/pistachios/pumpkin seeds/sunflower seeds. And asparagus or spinach, because my husband gets grumpy if we don't have at least one of those a week.

Fruit. <3 I spend a lot of time shopping in produce. There are so many choices!
At the very least, there often seems to be a very diverse collection of apples in whichever store I'm visiting. That keeps me busy.

#1 item is edamame in snack size steamer packs. Great snack with fiber and protein.

Other that that I don't have any set items, but I like to have a good balance of salty/savory and sweet foods so I don't end up bothered by cravings. Fruit and honey wheat pretzels?
