There is nothing I am waiting to do...I've never put my life on hold because of my weight. But I do plan to have a special reward when I reach my goal weight...probably something new to wear or a spa day.0 -

I've umm'd and ahh'd about whether or not to sign up. Not because I don't want to lose the weight - I still have 32 lbs to go so of course I do. But I keep setting myself these targets and then getting down when I find I'm still messing with the same few pounds. I wanted to stop the race mentality and just be glad it's coming down - if not as quickly as I'd hoped.
BUT.....they say God loves a trier - so here I am !!!

@FRAN, I totally understand! Even though I rarely (if ever) meet the 5 lb challenge, I continue to join to keep myself somewhat accountable. I figured if I wasn't setting these goals, I could end up far worse off.
I agree that Monday weigh-ins help with the weekend motivation. As for my weigh-ins, because I am so close to my "RED ALERT" threshold of 150, I have been weighing myself daily to keep myself on track, and logging each pound as soon as it drops off. I figure that way, it's official, and I can't let it creep back on before weigh-in day. Hmmm, maybe I should have counted the 2 pounds of vacation bloat that I've lost this week towards my August total! :laugh:0 -
