The Sexy Jar

So, I decided I would buy a jar today, and every day I cycle the 24 miles commute to work (12 each way) instead of driving I would put £5 in a jar. Thats roughly what it costs me in petrol a day to drive to work and back. And I'm going to use that money when I'm slimmer (hopefully from cycling!) to buy myself things I daren't buy now. First thing, a nice slim wetsuit to fit the new bod.
Anyway heres the jar, I will put £5 in it when I get home from work . Also there may or may not be on the side a photoshopped Ryan Reynolds with my head instead........

I'm doing something similar to stop smoking. Every day that I go without any cigarettes = $5 in the piggy bank.0

Sweet idea! It costs you nothing more than what you'd already be spending, but you get to spend it on something fun at the end. Nicely done!0

That's an awesome idea. Also, five pounds a day? What's petrol cost over there?0

Haha fab. Me and my partner have been talking about one of these today. I would like another 85lbs off, so I will put 85 pennies in a jar and in the other jar my partner will put in £2 for every 1lb I lose :-)0

A superb plan!!!! I bet you are doing brilliantly. Wet suit. Surfer?0

Great idea, considering gasoline is expensive even here in Canada. I don't drive, but I have trouble getting weight off, so I've decided that I'll do something similar to your idea. For every 5 pounds I shed, $5 CDN funds. I think it's sufficient enough, don't you think? :bigsmile:0

That is an AWESOME idea!! I'm going to do this! I think a dollar a pound plus maybe some for quitting smoking too, been 3 months! I should have more than enough to replace my wardrobe once I reach my goal weight!!0

I should have thought of that when I started walking to work.0 -
