If I'm not half out of it by 10 on a work night then I take Melatonin. If I'm still awake by 11 I take Benadyl.0

If that doesn't work, I read with a very dim light (a dollar store book light clipped to my Nook). If that doesn't work, I watch tv, especially TV Land. I need something to distract me from my own brain.0 -

I've heard Valerian Root works really well, but I've never actually tried it yet. The Weather Channel seems to work well for me.0

Unfortunately - I do this a lot. I'll sit up in bed and read with the lamp low. Sometimes I'll go curl up on the couch. For some reason I fall asleep out there easily. I'll putz around the house and do some quiet things that need done.0

Either have my husband talk to me or read a friend's research papers.

I'll toss and turn for a bit, trying to get back to sleep, but that usually doesn't help, so I end up wandering the Interwebz. Sometimes ambient music or other background noise helps.0 -
