It looks like this challenge came at just the right time for me! I'm counting a binge as any out-of-control eating - like my dinner at the all-you-can-eat fish place.

Late last night -- skipped dinner & suddenly was eating everything in sight for a few minutes. Well! I licked that ole binge monster by only having healthy things around my house!!! FINALLY SMARTENED UP!!! If I'd had candy bars or anything else around, I would have eaten an entire box as I just suddenly craved and had waited far too long to eat. Sooo, TAKE THAT OLE BINGE MONSTER! Ha Ha! --Fooled you! (Here's what I ate instead -- 4 imitation crab legs (120 cals), 1 Rokeach Old Vienna Gefilte Fish with Horseradish (60) and 2 packages of Keebler Right Bite mini cookies (100 cals. each). Cocktail sauce (50 cals (and that was a very high estiimate). Total only 430 calories! Ha!

finally calculated how many calories would be a normal day for me when im not dieting - 6000 =O

anyone talked to a doctor about night eating syndrome? My doctor didnt seem to know much about it but hopefully my nutritionist will.
I have sleep problems (going to get tested for sleep apnea) and hypothyroidism.
read up about night eating syndrome. basically is you eat 25% or more of you daily calories after dinner. Im at about 85% if i let myself.

    so no night binging!
    day one.........
  • I totally joining! In the past I've ruined my weight loss with weekly binges and I refuse to do that anymore! No binge August here we go! I'm pretty sure the reason I had been binging so much was because I was barely eating... I wasn't even aware that I was eating under 1000 calories a day! I thought I had to completely deprive and restrict myself to lose weight. So I binged, probably out of exhaustion and starvation haha. Never doing that again.
Hope you guys are dong well:)

Is it too late to join? I'm trying to recover from under-eating/purging but in recovery I'm bound to binge a lot so I want to control it. This thread seems awesome :)
