    good morning.

not much on my plate today.
    grocery shopping
budget (DH just blew it out of the water now have to redo, hate that)
try to get appt for dog at groomers.
pick up the house (son had to spend the night, car under repairs)
and it's a no workout day, would have like to just sit and vegetate.

off to begin, have a great weekend ladies.

    Hi all!!

Just wanted to let you all know I'm alive!! I've been on winter break though and just haven't taken the time to log in. Horrible I know!!! Looks like everyone is doing pretty well though!! I forgot to bring my scale home with me but I think I am staying right about the same, which is good considering i've been snowed in TWICE already over break and not able to get out much for exercise and without my DVDs.

    Hope all are well!!!

    Congrats on the pregnancy!!

--- Chipper hope you figure out what's going on with your ovary!

I went to my school's BRAND NEW gym today and it is AMAZING! I think we've found a winner! I was thinking about joining one because I was getting bored with working out at home and I've been pretty tired of working out alone but now that the new gym is here I think i'll just use that. it's SO high-tech. there's a rock climbing wall and so many different types of cardio equiptment I should be doing something different every day LOL!

I made it through another week of school, and I got off at 12:40 p.m. on Friday so that was amazing! YAY! I'm going to clean tonight do some studying and prepare for church and the gym tomorrow! .... and I guess I should go grocery shopping if I plan to eat this week lol! Bye sixers!

    Jennifer - congratulations!

I've had quite a day today. I Found out this morning that our church (where I also work part-time as the administrative assistant) was broken into over night. They broke out the window in the men's room to get in. They then smashed the locked doors to the copy room, my office, and the minister's office. The only things taken were my computer and monitor. I have 2 1/2 years of work, contact info, etc. on that computer. Some of it I can get from others where I've e-mailed them documents, but there's quite a bit of it I will have to start over from scratch! :explode:

Thanks all! I haven't told anyone. Except the husband off course.

What happened was I took the test "just in case" because I was starting my pill again tomorrow...good thing I took it.

I will perfectly honest....we are excited...but we are really worried. I always thought that moment would be full of tears and it which but it was more out of panic.

I have woman issues and the doctors have always told me that it would be really really hard for me to get pregnant without medical aid. I guess they were wrong because this came as a huge suprise. We both love children and always dreamed of having our own, it's just our situation in life right now isn't ideal and I am worried I won't be able to be a great mother. I am also on antidepressents which you are not supposed to take while pregnant and I am worried I might have done some damage. We don't even have health insurance right now.

Sorry for the ramble. I am glad I have you girls =D

    morning...

amypyr.....wow. i hope they catch them. that's the one bad thing about computers, everything is on them. i have never understood why someone would break into a church. i guess the tithes.
jennifer.....you will be a great mother. you just change after you have a baby. if husband is in the marines why no health insurance? if you don't mind me asking? as for your meds. the doctors will figure it out. you not being able to have kids, shows the good Lord intended this for you. it will all work out.
    lauryn.....where are you?????
    tamm.....you haven't checked in in 3 days?????
tiff....wow a new gym. that is so cool. have fun. i would take a day and just play on all the stuff.
    pdx...how you doing?
amylou....when do you go back to school? just think a few months isn't it before you are DONE.
kristen....hows the baby feeling? how's you bodybump going?
    verda....keeping up with the workouts?
kel.....hows the shred treating you. keep it up. it does get easier.
i know i am missing a few. how are you doing.

come on ladies hop back on the sixers train and lets bust some booties to look good for the summer. we need a new challenge name. we will going to just past valentines day.
    my plan for today.....
workout, run errands, clean, get the weeks menu planned, get stuff ready for a day class on wed.

    back later....

Shred Report: Day 4 Level 1 Complete. Starting to get alittle easier in some areas but still sore. I did manage to do one set of push ups on my toes. The second set I needed to do on my knees. I actually did really well with my eating and drinking. I know I went over but didn't over indulged too bad. Today will be another day like yesterday but I think I will be able to pay more attention to what I eat and drink. I really want to have a good weigh in on Tuesday.

Chipper - hubby JUST got out. Literally. He is covered for life but I am not. We just moved about an hour away from where my doctor was, I could go see but would have to pay out of pocket. Obviously it is important we just don't have the money right now. The whole transition has been tough. I called planned parenthood but they can't see me for two weeks. I am going to try to figure something out. I haven't taken my meds and I am already starting to feel really bad. You are not supposed to stop medication abruptly like that, I am worried about my mental state.

Thanks for the positive thoughts. I know We will love the baby to pieces. I am just terrified right now and not having insurance scares me as well. I feel like i can't take care of myself or the baby.

    me and my kind heart.
my neighbor works nights. he rents his house and has this beautiful golden ret. well, since we started getting the cold nights, we noticed he leaves the dog out side in his pen. he has a dog house. but, not front or blankie. so after the wind chill of 11 last night. this morning when he got home i ran over there in my jammies, freezing, asking him if he needed us to take in the dog at night. he was so grateful. so we brought the dog over and had a meet and greet with our 2 and put him back in his pen. than at dark went and got him and brought him back for the night. he is huge. he can stand on his legs and rest his paws on my shoulders. his paw fits in the palm of my hand. hope he settles down for the night.

busy day and a busy week coming.

Cathy- I have a good reason for not checking in! I was busy looking for jobs and houses and etc in danville va. LOL. You are toooooo sweet with that dog. I'm glad you kept him for the night. :)

Well for me... I met with a realtor today w/ my mom and saw a few options in the new place I may be moving. However, we are back to !!!! OH YOU HAVE A DOG? WELLLLLLLL... I mean seriously. I am going to buy something. Give me a break. My dog is not gonna kill anyone, he is too sweet and doesn't bark and I clean up after him. I swear, some people just make me MAD acting like dogs are the ENEMY and that I should just drop him off at a pound or something so I can live in a place. NO way!!! No dog, then no move!!!

    My little rant!

Back to normal! WHEW, good weekend though. Im off tomorrow and tues. So I'll be checking in!

    Love ya Sixers,

I really do not know where she would get mange when she does not go anywhere and has been pretty much house bound with it has being so blasted could! We have 2 dogs and a spoiled cat! My son says when he dies he wants to come back as a dog cuz they get a better life than him!LOL

    good morning girlies....

up and at it already. the night didn't go well with the dog. my puppy was scared to death by him. he sat on the back of the couch behind DH's head or in the corner where the golden couldn't get him, until his bed time. (he is crate trained). out other dog sleeps with us, has for years. so every time he stirred ours growled. unfortantly we won't be able to keep him anymore at night. other wise he was a good dog. the temps are now getting back in the high 20s. he has a wonderful coat on him. i felt bad, i can't stress my dogs. i think because mine weigh about 15#s and here is golden at 125 at least. and he's just turning 2, so still puppy. i tried.
weekend went good, ate some over.
    today's events.....
i think i will do a dvd for exercise today. something a little different.
meet with manager (long time coming)
clean, clean, clean.......hate a dirty house.

tamm....can't believe they cared about your dog if you are buying. what difference does it make. i will be your agent. LOL.

    scratchy throat this morning.

    Good morning!

Tamm: I'm so glad you love your dog and are keeping him/her. I have two rescue dogs, so I know people give up great dogs when they have to move. One dog ran away from his old owner (who I think used to abuse him because of the way he used to act when we first got him), but the other had one owner from the time she was a puppy until she was a year old, and that owner just gave her to the Humane Society. Oh well, my gain, since they're both amazingly sweet dogs. No offense to anyone who has done this, but in my opinion, my dogs are a part of my family, and even if I was moving internationally, I would take them with me.

Cathy: Sorry it didn't work out with the neighbor's dog. At least you can take him in emergencies, since they didn't fight or anything. We've watched other people's dogs before and it's pretty similar. My dogs don't care if each other walk around at night, but another dog moves, and it's barking and growling. I guess it's just not what they're used to. I also can't stand a dirty house. This weekend, we cleaned out a few carloads of stuff out of the apartment to give to Salvation Army as part of a New Years resolution.

Verda: We used to have two guinea pigs and one got mange every few months and the other never got it. And they lived in the same cage. I feel like some animals are just prone to it, and there wasn't anything I could do for my guinea pig except give him a bath with mange shampoo and keep my eye out for when he looked like he was getting it again.

Jennifer: In Florida, there is a program called SCHIP and it's some extra help (low-cost insurance) for young children, and I think it covers pregnant women too. Maybe in your state there is a program that can provide some insurance or medical care or vitamins or something similar while you're pregnant and while your baby is young. I also know that Starbucks has pretty decent insurance and at least used to start providing benefits for working 20 hours a week. Maybe you or your hubby could check into that as an option, if insurance isn't available elsewhere. Be careful with the antidepressants - could whoever prescribed them talk to you over the phone about what you can do right now to go off safely or if you can switch to a kind that might be safe while you're pregnant?

I hope everyone is having a great day so far. I'm ready for tomorrow's weigh-in!

Cathy- I know you would do a great job as my realtor! LOL. Thanks for the caring words.

Alison- i liked your detailed roll call. Your dogs sound so sweet. :) I know what you mean about taking them with you!

Kel- I'm glad your dog is doing just a little better. Hope the visit with the vet goes well

Verda- Take your baby in. LOL. Dylan (my dog) rubbed a spot on his belly and I was alarmed however its finally growing back. Too funny!

    Lauryn- Where are you girlie???

    Hi everyone else!!!!

I'm just resting today! Hoping to get some cleaning done. I ate a serving of cherrios w/ milk (skim), apple sauce and a boiled egg for breakfast. I've been eating well so I feel like I am getting the hang of this calorie goal thing!!! However I think I went over one day last week, but I was out of town. LOL.

Hope everyone has a great day... I know its a Monday though!

    Take care,

    Tamm

    Good morning ladies.

I have been MIA due to nice, relaxing weekend in Atlantic City with hubby and friends. But I'm back now, trying to catch up on the thread. Of course, by the time I catch up, the new one will start tomorrow (thanks to Cathy).

Feeling so sick to my stomach today I can hardly eat. Although I could have exercised, decided not to since I'm not getting enough calories in. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Not great timing for weigh in though, but oh well.

Are we going to keep the challenge going again for another 6 weeks? I'm in definitely. I'm finally getting the knack of this whole exercising, eating enough calories, not binging at night thing. By about June or so, I should have it perfected

Hope you all have a great day. Reading all the posts about the caring people on here to each other, their families, and even little animals makes you guys AWESOME!

Shred Report - Day 5 Level 1 Complete. Plus Moved and stacked one cord of wood. I am on my 2nd liter of water for the day and completed my food diary and stayed with in my calories.

Hope all is well with everyone. As far as my puppydog is The vet wants the new meds to continue for another week before bringing her back in. Unless something changes I will just keep an close eye on her. In the mean time I can't wait to weigh in tomarrow. I have stayed with in my goals all week. So I am looking forward to see if the changes have taken place.

    Hey candy!

I didn't read through all the respones so I'm not sure what everyone has said. If you are on antidepressants and just found out you are preg (assuming it is early 5-6 weeks?) it is not likely to be a problem. You are right that you should NOT stop antidepressants suddenly, or at the very least inform your doctor of your decision/ or a doctor (of even community health services) and seek advice about it. In medical school we learned that sometimes it is fine for a woman to continue antidepressants especially if she needs them :-) So not sure if I helped at all, but have some peace of mind that you've likely done absolutely NO damage. :-)

Think of it this way, women do LOTS of things before they realize they are pregnant. Many smoke, eat unhealthy foods, don't have folate in their diets, etc etc etc. When you find out and make the necessary corrections early, msot go on to have very healthy pregnancies! :-D

**keep in mind, I'm not a doc yet. So please seek advice from a MD** <--- disclaimer lol.

    ----

hey everyone! I'm TOM, and tired. headed to bed at 8:15. that sucks :-(

ETA: Candy, even if planned parenthood can't SEE you for 2 weeks, they can tell you if you should resume your medicine. Explain that you stopped abruptly and that your mood has been worse, from my experience in clinic we had mothers continue with their meds (depending on the particular drug- as long as it has not had documented birth related defects) if they felt they needed them. Take care of yourself :-D

Jennifer - you don't even start sharing your blood with your baby until two weeks after conception, which works out to be around the time you miss your first period.

I agree with gonabfit. At least let them know that you are on them, what type, how long, and what dosage. They should better know how to either wean you or even change them as there are some that you can take while pregnant.

Your concern for your baby and sacrifices you are willing to make already show what a great mommy you are :)
