What pushes you further during your workout?

What pushes me further is that if I keep it up, my body fat will go down. Also looking at the dresses that show my "baby fat" inspires me. Eminem's music does, too. !0

Listening to my iPod and watching the calories burned on my HRM.0

Any song sung by Kelly Clarkson. The beat and angsty lyrics push me to the max every single damn time. lol.0

\M/ I want very very loud metal blasting through my headphones. There is something about it that just makes me go harder0

1. Eye candy... not gonna lie, if a hot guy is looking you run faster/longer.
2. A workout partner
3. A wonderful powersong
4. PBing myself
5. Feeling the burn and knowing I'm doing it.0 -
80`s hair music0

Counting! I usually do the 30 Day Shred and Jillian never really counts how many exercises she does, so I took the time out to count how many jumping jacks, pushups, squats, etc that I'm doing and that helps a lot whil;e doing them because I know I'm almost done and I can make it!0

Listening to music with my headphones in, ignoring everyone else and daydreaming about myself having the perfect body.0

lots of great motivations here!!
for me it's my 2yr old, it really pushes me when i'm doing some jillian and i look over and she's doing it better than me! lol! especially the plank moves, my girl has them down and it's my hardest move so she does it and cheers me on 'come on momma' my burn is always highest on days when she helps me!!0 -
watching telly or a film. cannot sit there for over ten minutes and work out whilst looking at a blank wall.0

I like running with my friends. Although all are great to run with, there is one guy with ridiculously long legs and I need to be on my game to keep pace with him! Earning the respect of these running buddies is a great motivator for me! I ran with him last weekend and we did 10k in 57 minutes. A full 7 minutes faster than my previous best for 10K!
I also do a lot of martial arts. I LOVE sparring with the guys who have higher belts and are basically much better than I am. I end up taking a beating but there is no better way to advance in a combat sport than to spar/fight someone who has more skills than I do!0 -
I think about sex a lot.0

Other people to workout with. You'd be surprised how much having a partner can motivate you.
I'm the exact opposite. I HATE working out with other people. My gym time is my zone out time. I don't even like going for walks at the park with people (when the purpose of the walk is to get some cardio done in the fresh air). I've had several friends say "oh, you're walking? Call me, I'll come along" Yeah, ok, I'll get right on that. NOT!
I know it sounds antisocial, but that's just what works best for me.
So, for what makes me go further, longer, harder? My ipod. Without it, I'm lost.
This at times.. sometimes we just need our own time and workout time is the best... Zone out to TV or just to enjoy music without any other distractions.
But then again a class about once a week works because I do like to push myself and do better than the others in bootcamp classes! - but I could not work out with others everyday..
Otherwise, my HRM keeps me going. I can see those extra burned calories when pushing myself and I like to challenge myself to see what I can take at what Heart Rate. The more in shape you get, the more you can do at a lower heart rate.0 -
music, and game with the numbers (I walked/jogged 1 mile on the treadmill, but the time is 17 minutes 32 seconds, must go to 20 minutes, now the calories (yeah, yeah I know not accurate, not the point) are 132, must go to 150, oops now the distance is 1.13 need to get to 1.15, etc0
