    It's a mixture of greater overall size, higher activity levels, and a larger ratio of lean mass to fat. Obviously none of those are universal, but neither is "men lose weight faster than women."

    Just to make women angry. :) However, I think we can gain it faster as well - at least it seems that way in my case.

    not in my house. my wife drops weight without trying. after our child a year and a half ago, she's dropped all the baby weight and any other weight, because she now weighs about what she did when we got married 7 years ago. and i guess she did it through diet alone? she doesn't workout, and we pretty much eat the same foods (i eat larger portions, but nothing drastic, i didn't think).

    i still have the baby weight, and i didn't carry the child.

    I don't know but it's a good thing if they do because I love to look at men not so much women and love them fit and thin! :) HEE HEE GO MEN!
