I am 5'5" and 128lbs. I am currently at 1310 calories per day, about ready to increase again to around 1500. I just hit my goal weight of 130lbs 2 weeks ago (I started at 180lbs!!), so I am slowly upping to figure out my maintenance sweet spot. I work out 5 days a week, 30 minutes of strength and 30-45 mins of cardio. I am currently trying to find info on cutting out most cardio and just doing weight training to lose body fat, not pounds.0

111-113lbs and net around 1550cals. Trying to increase to lose half a pound but for some reason my body reacts more to the all or nothing approach. In other words, when I lose, I lose either a pound or nothing. Lol weird actually0 -
I am all over the map. I have been running 5 times a week with some extra work outs thrown in here and there for the past few weeks and the scale has not moved at all - even though I am busting my a**
I tried the scooby calculator and reset my MFP calorie target. Now I just have to stick to it! Hopefully this helps.
I am going to try to limit my exercise calories eaten back to 300 - just to see what that does. If I am still not moving the scale I will up it to maxing out at 400 exercise calories.
2 co-workers told me I looked thinner this week so something is happening - just not much on the scale. GRRR!!
EDIT: I am 33, 5'5" and weigh 161-165. My start weight 4 weeks ago: 165!!!! GRRRRRR!!1 -
I eat 1,800 and I am 5'4" and weight 104-106 depending on the day0

It depends on what happens when I log in with my Fitbit. Normally, I'm about 1400. Today, due to my insane number of steps....it practically doubled my calories. I saw a mountain appear before me and I barely climbed the hill of food. Sigh. It's easier when you know what to expect. I had no idea walking could make you need more food.0

I'm 5'3" and 168. I'm set at 1300 but I work out every day so I'm eating about 1500 and losing weight fine.0
-
I'm 25, 5'3", and I shoot for 1400, but always seem to eat closer to 2000. I haven't been working out due to an ankle issue, and I can't seem to force myself to compensate by not eating as if I was still working out. This = Bad news. :P0

5'6", weight is 161. I eat between 1700-2000 cals Monday-Saturday and on Sunday it varies even more widely. I work out 6 days a week and my aim is to burn between 500-600 calories on workout days, so I typically net 1200-1400 cals/day. I usually save up 200-300 calories a day for weekends, and try to keep my weekly net calories under by a few hundred. My settings are set to lose 1 pound a week, and I've been pretty steadily losing weight. I've plateaued the past two weeks, but I suspect my birthday 3 pound weight gain had something to do with that. :ohwell:0

21 years old, 5'1", 116 lbs
I eat 1500-1600 cals a day to lose and work out 5x/per week.0 -
5'2" and I started off with 1200 calories, I changed to maintaining weight and the thing said 1600...but after several days of being super bloated, I decided to drop down to 1400...and it seems about perfect, I'm not hungry, I'm not gaining or losing weight, nor am I bloated. I exercise about an hour a day, and am constantly on my feet at work0

I'm 178cm tall and weigh 58.5kgs (So I think that's 5'10 and 129 pounds?) and have a net goal of 1400 calories a day. Sometimes I struggle to get my net above 1000, and other days I'm well over my goal! It all depends on whether I'm out and about or not, since i eat more when I'm moving around, and obviosly eat more after I've worked out. Since I'm not trying to lose weight as such I'm not too fussed when I go over my goal, as I know the next day I'll more often than not be full form the day before, so will eat less.0

I'm 6'1", 165 lbs and struggle to stay under 1740 cals most days.0

When losing weight I am going at 2,000 or so.
I am 5ft2 and 134 pounds0 -
I'm 5'6" at 155lbs. I usually eat under 1200 calories a day, but I don't feel hungry. It's not like I'm starving myself. When I exercise I'm not hungry at all. But for people like my mom, she gets hungry after exercising.0

167lbs I eat 1200 or under every day, lost 2 lbs in 2 weeks, i've been told to eat at least 6 small meals throughout the day and that works better than 3 large meals? I dunno, i'm doing at least 30-45 min a day exersize.0

My BMR says that I should eat 1,532 cal. to maintain. I am doing 1200 cal and am losing steadily. In the first 2 wks I lost 9 lbs. and have continued to lose 5-7 lbs per month. I started April 24 and in 16 wks have lost 28 lbs. I walk at a brisk pace for 40-50 min 3xwk. I am trying to add some strength training along with it like crunches and modified push-ups for the tummy and arms. Gook luck to all.:bigsmile:0
-
I'm 5'4", 107lbs, currently eating between 1800-2200 to maintain, will go up to 2000-2600 when I start gaining again.
I love to eat too! (And have a freaky metabolism!)0 -
Hey there! I was eating under 1300 calories and working out for an hour 5-6 times a week. I plateaued for over 2 weeks so I took every ones advice and started eating around 1450... I got on the scale this morning and had finally dropped 2.5 lbs. I'm going to stay around 1450 for a few weeks and see what happens. I'm still working out for about an hour 5-6 times a week.0

5'2.5"
~114 lbs
I aim for 1800 a day to maintain my weight, but usually end up around 1650. If I actually exercise, I eat half of those calories back, since I'm sure MFP overestimates. I've been maintaining my weight for over half a year now. :happy:0 -
5"6 270 1200 Kal0

5ft 2.5 - currently 126 aiming for 116
I am trying alt. day fasting (as its been suggested with medical advice it is better for me with my various dietry and other hormone issues) - its not fasting as you eat everyday, its a form of intense calorie cycling.
On a fast day I eat 300 to 400 cal (20% a normal day)
On a non fast day I eat 1300 / 1400. If I do my 30DS and exersize then I eat 1400 /1500
I plan to do 4 - 6 weeks and see how I feel.
I will then have a break of a month and go back to eating 1400 a day
It should be noted i have a very seditary lifestyle, so I set to sed levels and hard add stuff (so that if I can make sure my nets are at the right level)0 -
I'm currently 225 (started on 253) and I've been on MFP for 8 weeks now, and the first 6.5 weeks I lost 21lb eating 1200 calories a day, but then I started to plateau so I upped my calories to 1400 and since last week have now lost 6lb (haven't registered 2lb of that as it was a sneaky look yesterday before my weigh in on Saturday).
Upping my calories definitely helped me break the little plateau I was in, I'm working out 60 minutes most days so my body obviously needed more nutrition, I don't think I could have stayed on 1200 for much longer. I was a little apprehensive about upping my calories, thinking it would make me gain weight but it had the opposite effect and now I'm really enjoying eating a little more!
I don't eat back exercise cals usually, but If i'm hungry then I have no problem eating a few back. I'll keep on at 1400 for a few weeks and if I plateau again, I'll increase the cals again.0 -
5' 6.5" 153# 2765 or more a day.0
