Hey Ladies,
I have lost a total of 59 pounds and am FINALLY getting close to being in my healthy BMI weight again. I have thought about what I really want when I reach goal and that's a new pair of jeans. NEW jeans.... so excited and am wondering what are your favorite brands? I like them low rise (but not too low) and boot cut... so sick of my stretchy levi's...
BTW: What are Silver jeans? I have just recently heard of the brand...

First off, CONGRATS TO YOU!!!!! Last time I bought myself a pair of jeans was a very lonnnggg time ago... Not that I hadn't gone LOOKING for a pair... but there is nothing more that I dread more than shopping for a new pair of jeans... to start, I'm short. 5'1. RIGHT in that spot where petite is almost to short, but regular are to long... Then I've got a small waist with wide hips and a GREAT BIG BUBBLE *kitten*... I don't want anything to low rise because then my butt hangs out, but I love low rise look. Finding something in that range, is hard enough, but I'm picky! I bought a pair of jeans from Victoria Secret I loved. They weren't to low rise in the back, and they had the V shape rise in the front I thought was super sexy. They were slightly stretch and very comfy. Expensive though. And then I got a pair from Old Navy. Be prepared to be there awhile, TONS to try on. I still have my Baby Phat Jeans from when I was 18 that (amazingly) still fit great and look pretty good. (before Baby Phat went Walmart) And I have no clue what Silver Jeans are... But I HAVE heard awsome things about Not Your Mothers Jeans. Def something worth checking out!0 -
Express jeans
and congrats!!0 -
Silver's from the buckle. They come in actually measurements... 26, 27, 28 like men's jeans. Its wonderful!0

American eagle & paige0

I don't that I have a favorite, but I love the Cache jeans I bought last year ( until I gained 15 lbs back and couldn't wear them anymore). I'm tall and curvy so generally I have issues with waist gapping but these don't. Plus they are the right length.0

Faded Glory from Walmart. I'm a simple girl.0

Silver Jeans is the name of the brand. They are carried in The Buckle, Maurices, and Macy's that I know of. They are pricey (above $70 a pair) but they last forever and make your butt look great. LoL0

Years ago, I gave up jeans shopping because nothing fit. Until I went to a little cowgirl boutique in Montana and found Petrols.
Petrols are the best bootie jeans, stretchy boot cut with some bling on the back pockets. Love them - they're my reward for losing weight too.
Joe's Jeans are another brand that are super nice.0 -

I like Guess and Dish.0

Gap. Just really think they are comfortable.0

GAP & American Eagle and I've heard that Rockin Republic and Sevens are great, but pricy0
-
Hudson jeans with the flap pocket they are great if you have no butt
if you are curvy levi's are a good choice if you need a higher waist0 -
:drinker: My Favorites are either Calvin Klein or Gloria Vanderbilt.
Until you find your own FAVs try shopping at the Second Hand Stores in "Nice" Neighborhoods. You will find LOTS of almost New Brand Name Jeans. Most of the time they are about the same price as new Wal-Mart Jeans but you can afford to try several different Brands to see which you like best.
:flowerforyou: BTW, New Jeans is a FABULOUS Reward for all the work you have done!!0 -
Congrats on the weightloss!!
I go to Forever 21 for cheap but pretty good quality, and if I want to splurge I buy buckle jeans or 7 for all mankind.0 -
I love Silver jeans, Miss Me, and Kut. After years of Lane Bryant jeans, I am enjoying the name brands!0
-
Calvin Klein jeans0

I have no brand loyalty. If the price is right and my butt looks good, that's all I care about.0
-
My favorite are Levi's 505's or Miss Me Jeans0
-
I love Eddie Bauer's curvy jeans. Of all that I've tried on, they always fit me the best. I have full hips and big thighs compared to a relatively small waist and this makes it really hard for me to find a good fit. Other jeans might get the hip:waist ratio right, but then be a little tight in my thunder thighs.0

I have to agree with this. I don't think I own more than one pair of any one brand anymore, although most of them were Lee before. Not on purpose, just ended up that way.0 -
Yoga Jeans!
They're a Canadian brand and expensive. But I have never tried on a pair I didn't like (at any weight). You always tend to be a size smaller than your actual size too.
I would highly recommend trying on a pair. They will sell themselves!

I don't try to be a brand snob but my fav is silver since I have a small waist and a big butt and there are several that don't cut into my waist or give me plummers crack...but alas some of them still do.
I bought one pair a few years ago that had a really thin waist band and they were amazing and haven't been able to find them since...I bought 3 pairs of them but eventually wore them all out :P0 -
i'm hippy with a small waist -( relatively)
so Levis or gap curve
i originally boycotted Levis curve for not actually using curvy models in the advert but then i tried a pair on and for the first time i didn't need a belt!
have grown out of my gap curve. need some more but am waiting for winter but everyone used to complement me on them0 -
Diesel, Paige, and SFAM (seven for all mankind).
I'm smaller waisted and bigger hipped. Low rise works best for me.0 -
BID jeans which are also from the buckle. I have a big boogie and a smaller waist and these don't leave a gap in the back and I don't even need a belt! Love them! Ps....I go to a place called platos closet. Its a second hand store for a adults and its all name brand clothes! I got my last pair of BKE jeans for $19! Bonus! Good luck!0

I'm English, and my jeans are from a shop called Oasis http://www.oasis-stores.com///fcp-product/3250166923 They're falling down now and I'm hoping to fit back into my old Levis. When I lose enough weight that I can do that, I'll treat myself to some Diesel jeans. I also have some CK cord trousers that I want to get back into. (US size 8)0

True Religion jeans are my fav...also love Rock & Republic, Levis, and Abercrombie0
-
I have brand loyalty because every pair I buy I LOVE. Easier that way.
I purchase Rock Revival jeans from the Buckle. They cost $140-160 which sucks but they ALWAYS look good and last for freaking ever. I save more money that way. And enjoy wearing them without any second thoughts about whether or not it looks okay. Plus it's kind of fun when you have a pair that can go as dress jeans or laid back.
It's the only item I drop big money on. Otherwise I'm happy with my cheap tops/shoes. The jeans pull it all together.
Good luck!0 -
7 for all mankind (pricey but SO worth it) and American eagle
O my. Almost 4 got Miss Me.and MEK? (From Buckle) man I could buy jeans all day long. Hoping to fit in the ones in my closet SOON!0
