We have a 4 year old boxer named Cassius Dior. He loves feet, chew toys, chasing anything, treats, naps, couch time, our son, walks (runs), and play time. He is a part of our family not a dog. We had to put our Sammy dog to rest in December. RIP my little brown weiner friend. We miss you!0

my zoo! All of my dogs are rawfed (whole prey model) & my cat is 75% grain free kibble 25% raw fed (she still hasn't figured out how to chomp bones so that's why I continue with the kibble... :frown:). I'm sure lots of people will think I'm kooky, but I switched to rawfeeding exactly a year ago and I've been immensely impressed with how much my dogs' health improved after the switch from premium kibble (Taste of the Wild). No more dentals needed (IGs and greys have notoriously bad teeth), no more itchy/dry skin, bigger muscles, shinier/softer fur, no more upset tummies, LESS POOP! Awesome!
Edit: Woah... long. Sorry.
lol cut off the beginning, you have quite a menagere!! What do you feed your dogs? I've tried to rawfeed but unfortunately my animals all like to pull their food out of their dishes to eat it, and one dog in particular likes to take his food into the living room to eat off the carpet in there... raw chicken+carpet=ewwwww! so we're back on kibble. When we move to a bigger house and can get a designated feeding room thats all tiled or laminate I'd like to try again.0 -
I have an absolutely adorable bichon frise who is 4 years old and goes by the name of Harley! He's the love of my life, couldn't imagine life without him.0

I am owned by two purebred Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs. They are lean large athletic hounds, and are not for everyone. The first girl Mika came from a back yard breeder in Virginia. I don't recommend getting a puppy from anyone but a reputable breeder, as they are riddled with health problems. My second Ridgeback girl came from a reputable breeder in North Carolina. I have been involved in canine performance events since 2006. The dogs keep me active, and busy. I regulalrly attend dogs shows, performance events, and other dog related events all over the region. I now live in Northeastern MD so now have even more events to attend! We even have our own website www.semperfiridgebacks.com. Check us out!0

I have an almost 2 year old (his birthday is this Saturday  ) Goldendoodle named Oliver. I didn't realize that dogs this well behaved even existed. We (my hubby and I) are totally spoiled by his laid back disposition. He is the sweetest puppy and is afraid of EVERYTHING. But, when my husband travels out of town he becomes very protective over the house and me. He goes wherever we go and has already seen more states than most people have  . He is obedient and adorable and loves to lay on your feet - that way you can't sneak away without him knowing. He is never in a room in the house that we aren't in.
Basically, he's a huge, fluffy teddy bear and I wouldn't trade him for the world!0 -
My boy Reilly is my avatar. He's three years old now and the best exercise motivator I have. Needs a run around the park every day or he brings me toys until I get off my butt and play with him.0

I have another Lilly We have two fawn pugs. Lilly is 3.5 and we have just got Bella who is almost 3 months. Lilly is always wanting to be touching us. On our laps, in our bed, in the car etc. She has to touch you when she sleeps. We have never hardly been apart except for one two week holiday. I work at home and she is my baby girl. I sing songs about her and kiss her on the lips and she hates that but I don't care! My family thinks we're "in love" and I say "YES!" She is on me in my avatar too lol. She's laying in my lap right now even though she's hot and panting. Everyone tries to steal her at night to sleep with but she always comes back to Momma.
Now Bella or Baby Belle as I have started calling her is much more forthcoming. She is very social and likes to eat Lilly and jump on her like a cat. She has needle teeth and claws and hates to be touching you in the bed at night. She itches to get down and run all around. She is determined to walk here in the Yukon at -temps but freezes up and reluctantly goes in my coat with her head sticking out. But she loves to kiss which I adore because Lilly hates it. Total opposites. Bella will bark at Lilly when she is eating and Lilly will chase her and Bella circles back and eats her food. Lilly just watches. Bella does this with bones as well and pushes her way into the water dish as Lilly is drinking. I think for sure she will be the alpha dog. I tell Lilly to grow a backbone but she just stares at me with those sad puggie eyes. Bella is of course just coming into her own. It will be neat to see how she turns out.
I, too, love my pugs!0 -
We have 2 fawn pugs, Rosie who is10 ( mamma ) and Lily 8 her daughter. Rosie was our first dog and she had one litter. We kept Lily and she had one litter as well. They are my "girlz", as we have 2 boys, 20 and 17. Rosie has always been the mother hen. She helped clean Lily's puppies and to this day still cleans Lily's ears and face! She is a morning girl and is ready to go out at 6 am. She has hypo-thyroidism and is on medication for that and is a little chunky @ 25 lbs, but stocky too. Whenever anyone gives her attention, pets her or picks her up she will bark and spin in a circle chasing her tail. Quite entertaining! Lily, on the other hand is a daddy's girl and a little obsessive. She won't share any of her toys and even takes them outside with her when she goes out to do her thing. We had to break down and buy her a new pair of baby, size 1 shoes cuz her last pair are out in about a foot of snow now....somewhere in the yard! They both snore and make all kinds of puggy-grunting- noises. When all is quiet in the house, they are the only ones to be heard! Love my puggers!
We need to start a pug-lover's group girl0 -
We have two Chihuahuas: Buster and Daisy. Buster is kind of standoffish and not a huge cuddler, but he can be a sweetheart once in a blue moon. Daisy is a love bug who wants to be on your lap and/or getting a belly rub about 99% of the time. They are my babies0

Well I have the best little dog I could ask for...my Pomeranian, Lulu just turned 1 year on the January the 31th of 2010! She is black and has white on the tips of her toes, on the tip of her chin, and on her belly!! She is very beautiful and I am not just saying that because she is mine! Most of the time she thinks that she is a huge dog and she will try to attack anything! She loves her toys and loves when she has a friend to play with regardless if it is people, children, or other animals! She will let you know if she doesn't like something, like unexpected noises, movement, etc! She is VERY talkative and loves to say what is on her mind! And Lulu is so smart so knows pretty much all the tricks in the book, my favorite one is when you say "sing and dance" it is just so cute...she barks and gets on her back legs and hops and go in circles! And let me say that she loves the cheapest treats...ice, yes my dog would either have a piece of ice then a bone or some kind of treat! But she does love going to the bank, they always have those good bones she loves! But don't let any of that fool you, she is very spoiled and so that means at times she can get very moody! And the one thing that i want her to STOP downing is, every time someone comes to the house she will bark and jump all over them till she is ready to stop, and trust me that is like forever! But i have to say she is very funny, she watches TV(her favorite show is 7th Heaven), barks when a show on the TV door bell rings, and will go crazy if someone has a laser light! I have to say I have the best of all worlds when it comes to my puppy...well she is still a puppy to me!! And let me say that she is a huge cuddle buddy and she is small but will take the whole bed!! But I love her and she is my pride and joy!0

I am a crazy cat woman with 5 cats - all wandered into our yard or were rescued from friends that couldn't keep them. Brook is the oldest and stares me down each night for 2 hours until it's "that time" and I give them their Fancy Feast treat (1/2 can each). Taylor (my favorite) is tiny and snotty but loves me. She is the one pictured in my tat. Jenna is the beauty and shy but runs up to the car to greet me every time I come home. We live in the country and have a cat door so they come and go all day. Floyd is a spoiled boy who cries if he isn't able to sit on your lap. Zora the newest will be 2 soon. He just learned to snuggle in bed and it makes it hard to type when he is laying across me and the laptop.
I also have 1/2 a dog. 8 years ago DH was against pets so I got a dog that lives at mom's house - 6 miles away. Paws loves the snow. Mom and I take him out walking every day. He was in his glory playing in the snow and tracking critters this weekend as we hiked a local park.0 -
ooh i would definitely be in on the pug lovers group!!!
I have two babies, Willy and Lulu. Both are fawn pugs, Willy is 7 and my Lulu is 4. I love them!!0 -
Down here in 'bama, we have two mini doxies - Kenzie, a 4 year old red doxie (with a red nose and nails - too cute!) and Teagan, a 2.5 year old black and tan who's about 3 pounds smaller than Kenz. They're so cute and cuddly and lovie, and are FABULOUS for a brisk hike around our hilly neighborhood!
I have a purebread 2 year mini doxie male. His name is Ozzy (after Ozzy Osborne of course!). He is a black, brown and gray dapple. I had to put my 15 year old Ginger to rest 3 years ago and was devastated. I have had a dog all my life and was lost without one, but swore to never get another one. Well, after seeing his pic....yeah....I couldn't resist.
He is a little booger! I run daycare and have to make sure to keep all diaper bags zipped and snapped. He loves to go nosing around and pulling things out. He follows me around and sits outside even the bathroom door and waits for me! LOL And I have never seen a dog that loves icecubes like he does! He hears the ice machine on the fridge start up and runs over to get the one we drop on the floor for him! :laugh:0 -

Sorry, I just saw this!
I feed my big dogs outside to take care of the raw meat all over the house issue. 2 95 pound greyhounds flinging 5-10 pounds of dead animal everywhere is not my idea of good fun. I feed my little dogs in their crates & my medium sized dog is good about staying put on her mat in the kitchen. I've read that vinyl shower curtains or table cloths are good to put down & then it's pretty easy to train the dogs that if they don't stay on those, then they don't eat. Then you can just wipe the vinyl down with vinegar and water & you're all sanitized.
I feed my guys whatever I can get my hands on -- the bigger and more in-tact the better. Lately I haven't had any good finds from the hunters around here so unfortunately it's been a lot of chicken leg quarters & ground beef (I don't really advocate feeding ground food to dogs who are physically able to chew bones, but it's is the only grocery store beef I can afford to buy for my dogs & at least it provides a little variety). Sometimes I can get a big bag-o-organs (ew) from deer processors & hunters but when I can't score any free stuff, it's just chicken/beef liver & beef kidney. Ah well -- they do better even on limited variety than they ever did on kibble. In the summer my bf and I go fishing but we both hate fish. So, the dogs get anything we catch -- just gotta be sure the fish haven't swallowed any hooks or anything like that. And if they're fish with barbs or sharp fins, cut those off first.0 -

We have 14 dogs, 4 house cats and several feral cats in the barn. Most of them are mixed breed muts that were adopted from the animal shelter.
Sugar, Gage, Sweet Pea, Daisy Marie, Gracie Louise, Scruffy, Sassy Rae, and Blue were all adopted from an animal shelter.
Buddy, Sadie, Stetson and Bodine were dumped on the side of the road, so we picked them up. I can't stand to see an animal thrown away.
Lulu Belle was given to me by one of friends, she is a yorkiepoo.
And finally, Montgomery-Mo for short is an 8 week old puppy that my husband just brought home from a friend that he works with. Mama is part pit and I think there is a hound dog in there somewhere. He is a very energetic little snot. Loves to chew on everything but his toys!
The four house cats were feral cats that were injured that we rescued-Festus had to have a back leg amputated when he was about 6 wks old. He's a mess. And then there is Midnight, George and Ratcliff that all had minor injuries and ended up staying in the house.
My daughter has a rabbit. She wants to be a vet, so she gets lots of practice taking care of animals around here.0 -
We have a 4 yo wire hair fox terrier, Ajax. I the family's baby, we have a female coming in the srping from the same breeder can't wait!!

What no ferrets?? We have 3. My husband is allergic to dogs, cats, horses, you name it, so we went to the pet store looking for a lizard (eck). We ended up with our first ferret, Cleo. We carried her around the store for over an hour just to make sure it was going to be ok. Then we decided she was lonely & got Neo. They have both passed but not before we got Fatso, Sunny & Snowball. The 3 we have now. They are so adorable & have so much energy0
-
Hi Dremsdaily - we had a ferrit once - she was GREAT! (maybe a little stinky). She was so gentle anyone could play with her, even little kids. She used to torment our dogs :-D0
-
I have a 5 year old Lab/Springer spaniel mix named Sadie. She looks like a little cow... Shes always got a toy in her mouth and full of energy. If you go outside she has to go with you, no matter what, and the first thing she runs to get is her jollyball. Then you have to kick it for her. She won't stop either. She is now restricted to 30 minutes of play time each time we go out because unfortunately she is starting to show signs of hip problems. Of course if you saw her you would never know. She doesn't let it stop her. Its later on when you get inside that she starts limping. But all in all, she is the biggest sweetheart and she is a very funny and crazy dog. My husband and I know we got the perfect pick from the litter when we got her. I think she will be a puppy her whole life. :happy:0

We have a 17 year old cat named Duck. He loves me, but only puts up with everyone else in the house. Can we say old and crotchety?
Also have a 9 year old german shepherd named Rhea. Got her when her family moved to California and couldn't take her.
And my son has a snake named Rex. He was the first one in science class who could talk their parents into adopting the snake that their teacher had. And it only took 2 weeks, lol.
My son also has a dead pet Beta. LOL... One of these days, he'll listen to me when I say flush him!0 -
All your dogs sound so cute! I really want to get a dog but as I live in an apartment block it wouldn't be fair (or allowed!) When I move into a house I'll definately be getting a baby Westie!
At the moment, I have a hamster, she's golden brown and called Bridget! She's pretty cool, and can do a couple of tricks too!0
