I LOVE quinoa! It's so versatile! I make quiche with it, meatloaf, salad, hot breakfast cereal....

And a big tip? Cooks perfect in a rice cooker.

Haven't tried quinoa yet...I think this has given me quite a few reasons to go pick some up.

Put taco seasoning in the water and use the quinoa to make tacos instead of chicken or beef

Take 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese and 1 wedge laughing cow swiss cheese and mix in 1 cup cooked quinoa when it's still hot and you have a nice mac and cheese substitute

So far, these are sounding the best to me...I've got to try them..thank you!!

YUM! loving quite a few of these. Will def have to try

I just tried quinoa for the first time last night and I loved it!

What is a single serving of cooked quinoa?

I usually eat 1/2 C, which, when cooked with broth, is about 120 calories, 2 g fat, 5g protein.

Add sauteed peppers, onion, zucchini with salt, pepper, garlic and topped with toasted pine nuts or walnuts.

WAIT. is this 170 calories per quarter cup COOKED? whoa...

It is per quarter cup UNcooked. That should make about 3/4 to 1 cup of quinoa, depending (probably closer to 3/4).
