Six week 6 pack - much more than just an ab workout *pics*

I wanted to let you all know about this fab DVD. There doesn't seem to be many threads about 6W6P and i don't think it gets the following or credit it deserves.

When i first discovered this DVD, the title didn't inspire me to buy it, I envisaged it to be a workout full of crunches and not alot else. It was only by pure chance when i was watching trailers for other JM's on youtube that i thought i'd take a peek at it anyway and i discovered it was infact, a total body workout.

My thighs ached...My bottom ached...I was glad to discover this programme was not only working my abs, but also my horrible "thunder thighs" and my butt too :)

After 1 week i could already see a difference in my tummy...i could feel the strength building up in my arms and back...

I completed week 5 today and here is my progress so far:

I did this following 30 day shred and Ripped in 30, both fantastic workouts.

I seriously cannot recommend this DVD enough.. I've had 4 kids and pregnancy really wasn't kind to me but it has STILL given me abs, so that just speaks for itself!!

If you're a Jillian fan you NEED this DVD! (ps please excuse my mismatched underwear lol!)

Wow... just wow! You're doing an amazing job, Dawn! You can totally see the difference in your thighs as well as your belly. I'm sure it's doing things for your bum as well. Kudos to you for sticking with it. I know it's not easy, but the results are worth it. I know you know that too. Good for you! Lots of awesome right there. :drinker:

Wow...awesome results!!! I have 6W6P, too, but have not touched it much. I've mostly been doing the 30DS, but now looking at your results I am motivated to try 6W6P again. Thanks!!!

LOVE THIS....Yep I love the fact that you are not just working your stomach....I hear that's the key..people think ab work is about crunches...and floor work..NOPE...This is my fav DVD...done it about 4x wasn't as drastic as my first attempt...but good results!

Great work! My husband did level 2 last night for the first time and you know how Jillian always says don 't phone it in, he was seriously thinking of phoning it in!

Thanks for sharing your results! I'm currently on level 3 of 30DS, and plan to do Ripped in 30 next month. I've been thinking of getting another one of Jillian's DVD's to mix in with these workouts, and you sold me on this one! I know some people get annoyed with Jillian, but she really motivates me. Congrats on your awesome results!

Every time I hear how hard level 2 is, it scares me to try it the way I plan to. Not sure I'm going to be ready for level 2 next week... lol

@ Eerinelizz: Jillian annoys me, but her workouts are effective, so I keep going. Hahaha 6W6P is my 4th in a row.

I absolutely love this DVD. I don't have the urge to throw something at Jillians head as much as I did with 30DS. I can feel my abs tightening up and it's great. I'm certain I'll see more results from this program vs 30DS.. By the way, awesome job. You're doing amazing and it shows. I hope my level of dedication even comes close to what you have. Great work!!!

See I'm doing my 3rd round of 30 day shred right now, I think I need to go get this and ripped in 30. I think you have convinced me lol. Great results!!! I especially see the change in your legs and bum area.

WOW, wn, WOW!!!! your "before" pictures were the great ones you showed us a month ago after you'd seen lots of inches dropped. the change from then to now? so difficult to describe. the tone and definition in your legs, abs, even your arms is noticable. hell yeah to you for sticking it out. i've not given up. i've done day 3 and my abs are starting to tingle throughout the day. it is the most fun i've ever had kicking it with jillian.

    absolutely wonderful results!

yes.. my baby scars that i have always been so ashamed of. I still am a little self concious about them, but have come to realise they're always going to be part of me whether i like it or not.. so i try not to stress it. They have improved loads since i've lost weight and begun to tone so that's a bonus. Will i ever wear a bikini? unsure...but i'll never say never.

Thanks for all the comments guys, it makes my posting all the more worthwhile if i can inspire others :)

the first pic was how i looked after Ripped in 30, before i'd done day one of 6 pack.

Guys - this is a tough workout at times (read my blog lol) but it is soooo worth it. I really can't stress it enough. Ok i still have stretch marks and the odd lump and bump but OMG it has worked miracles for me...considering how out of shape and flabby i was, i never thought it was possible.

Your results are amazing, I have that DVD but have not tried it yet. I guess that is the workout I am stating with today. How was your eating or your calories during the workouts?
Thanks for the motivation that is one part I really need to work on

My diet is probably not as clean as it could be but I really don't do diets. I eat everything I want but in moderation, always fitting a little bit of what I want into my macros and staying within calories 99% of the time.

I began my journey a little bit naive, it was all new to me, so I just went with the 1200 calories mfp gave me. It worked well for me, over the course of maybe 10 weeks I lost 18lbs steadily and wasn't hungry. The scale stopped moving so I upped to 1350 which did get things moving again. When I reached level 2 of six pack I started feeling tired, hungry and generally grumpy, I think this was because L2 seemed a big step up from L1 and my HRM was showing a higher calorie burn so I upped them again to 1500. The last 3lbs or so of my weight loss have been very slow as I'm approaching goal weight but I'm glad to say I am only 0.8lb away from goal. I was 156.8lb when I began and I am now 133.8lb.
  • So did you do it every day? Or take breaks? I am doing 30 Day Shred now and looking for my next workout when I finish (halfway through now). Right now I do it 5 days/week.

I have been doing it 5-6 days per week and then rest. Occasionally I will do an hour of yoga instead of 6 pack, generally on days when I am tired or not feeling up to an intense workout for whatever reason.
  • WOW....Girl you look amazing, awesome job, you rock!!!!
