I totally understand. I crave sweets like nothing else and I'm struggling cuz I'm starting in the next few days.0

I've never been able to pin point cravings with TOM, possibly because I'm really struggle sometimes to be self aware of what my body is doing and I've never been terribly regular. I did think at one stage it was salty things I craved (vegemite toast, but it had to be with butter), but sometimes I don't crave at all. And then at other times I get a huge craving for sweet things that may or may not be linked to my cycle. I think I'm just confused.
The other week I woke up with a huge craving for pork of all things. I don't even eat a lot of pork. It was so strong that I even stopped at the butchers after my run to gawk at the pork to figure out what I should buy. I did make pork for dinner that night with a lovely sage and apple cinnamon topping with veggies.
I don't think my craving was even related to hormones, but it was unbelievable how much I wanted that pork...0 -
I almost always "have" to have chocolate during that "lovely time." I'm on a September challenge though with a group of my girlfriends on Facebook and we have each resolved three goals (two related to health, one not) that we want to do in September. One of my goals is to have no chocolate during my "lovely time."0

I can't stop eating. At all. And my friends have noticed my monthly trips to the vending machine after I've eaten my unusually large lunch/dinner/snacks... I've given up on TOM0

I get very odd cravings. One month I craved raw meat (didn't give in, though) and another I craved blue, didn't care what it was as long as it was blue.0

I crave sweet and salty snacks! Pretzels one minute and then chocolate the next! :laugh:
Does anyone ever weigh during their cycle? Or, do you weigh in a couple of days after it's over?0 -
I think so? My periods have been up the wall the last year. I didn't get one from August till December, then thatvone lasted 27 days and since then I've only had my one staring less than a week after the previous one finished and most of them are lasting 2-3 weeks. This one is coming up to 4 weeks now and I dunno how I actually haven't bled to death lol
Not sure why I shared that much, but whatever.
So yeah, I'm not sure if I'm eating differently or not.0 -
i do weigh myself out of curiosity. i go up 3-5 pounds but it doesn't bother me because i go back to normal by the end of the week0

The worse cravings for me are red meat. I never crave anything until TOM. This was especially hard when I was vegetarian.0

I hate it because I always crave chocolate or meat. Chocolate I just have one of those Milano 100 calorie pack cookies and make it my last snack, or I'll drink a glass of Silk's Chocolate flavored soymilk, if I'm craving meat I eat tuna, the problem with the last one is that my cat ends up wanting it too lol.0

I guess I do have cravings that I indulge during that time. I also bloat. I continue my usual workouts but I avoid the scale during that time because I have noticed that I can gain up to 7 pounds during that time. Thankfully, I go back to normal within a couple of days.0

No food or sweet cravings at all. Life goes on as normal aside from the cramps and bloating0

it happens to me all of the time! & its the worst! & i hate weighing in during that particular week because I gain weight & it discourages me! i always find a way somehow to give in to my cravings =(0

I have been craving coca cola and I must admit I have been indulging. However I do make it a point to drink 16oz. of water directly after. To help flush it out!! You're not alone0

I never noticed the cravings or the bloating when I was fat and on birth control. But now that I've lost a bunch and no longer taking hormones, I notice the cravings (for EVERYTHING) and the bloating. I gain 3-5 lbs and then it takes me a week afterward to get rid of it. I will finally see a great number on the scale and then it goes up due to TOM. Sometimes it sucks to be a woman!0

I don't tend to get cravings for anything but find I am abit more hungry so I try and have more stodgy meals during this time of the month. Usually things like jacket spuds, mash potatoes and pasta x0

Red meat and dark chocolate are my cravings...I just go with the flow0

Funny you should ask, TOM came to visit today, about every three weeks at my house. I am almost 50 and expect that menopause is knocking at my door. Anyway, I gave in to my guilty please of chocolate covered peanuts, and yes I ate the entire 6 oz. bag. OMG!0

I'm not hungry all the time but I wanna eat all the time b/c of PMS cravings. I'm dealing with one right now after my mom devoured a Tasty Kake Tasty Pie in front of me. So I sit and type lol.
And I, too, gain up to 5lbs the week before the "visit"...0 -

when i'm gushing blood the last thing i want is to focus on dieting/making healthy choices.
my goal is 1,200 and on days when i have my period i boost it up to 1,500
because I'M ALWAYS HUNGRY

I've found that since I've eaten more of late, my cravings aren't as bad. Go fig. O_o0
