I'm tired of "pear shape" hate.

I wasn't aware that there was pear shape hate. Lol. I am 100% pear, and I don't mind it at all. The only complaint is my shorts want to go up when I exercise because I get more narrow in my waist. Lol.0

I wish I were a pear shape. I think they are BEAUTIFUL!0

You're not really a pear. A true pear would be more like 35, 37, 40.
She is a true pear. Her measurements are 100% pear shape. I don't see why you say she isn't one. Her waist is defined just like a true pear shape. The measurements you wrote are pear as well, except you provided a bigger waist measurement.

"Pear shape" usually means small upper body including waist, big hips and thighs.

I've seen a ton of people complaining about their own shape, but I guess they do this no matter the shape, right? No one is ever happy with what they have.0 -

I don't know that I'd call it "hate," but apart form the "apple" shape, I think the pear shape is the least desired.
Of course it's stupid to obsess about it; you have to do the best with what you've got.0 -

I gave the proportions for a more extreme pear shape.0 -

Some pears have thicker waists. I guess what is a small upper body relative to the waist and hips is relative.0 -
bumping my pear shape0

I used to be significantly more pear shaped, but I still have a small upper body and bigger thighs, hips and bum. And I like it that way.0

I've always loved being a pear shape! Just wish the bottom was a little smaller. 37-36-530

I love my pear shape and so does my hubby so nothing else matters. Rock on pear shapes!0
-
Hell yeah!I love my big booty and tiny waist
I do hate being compared to a fruit though.0 -
I think being pear shaped is really cute!
It looks great on most people.
I wish I were pear shaped.
I'm a stupid hourglass. ( 37/25/38 )
Boobs suck.0 -
I have no idea if I am a pear.
I used to assume I was, but my trainer said I am a 'rectangle' or 'athletic' shape, so no idea anymore.
I am 33, 25, 35.0 -
Will trade lower part of my pear for upper part of an apple.
44-44-59.250 -
I've either been described as a hourglass or a pear depending on the calculator I use. I lean more towards pear though.
Currently 38-29-40. I love my big booty0 -
We've got nice booties! I didn't like my big butt before too but now, my butt and I are friends. Sorry if that sounded odd.
Plus it means are waist tend to smaller so this leads to a decreased risk of some diseases.0 -
I have no idea where you get that there is a hate towards pear shaped...
Sounds more like fishing for a compliment boost.
There's probably at least one "How do I lose my fat thighs?" post every single day. And said posters are usually told not to lift weights with their legs which is ridiculous.
If I wanted to fish for compliments, I'd say: "Hey everyone, give me a compliment".
I am definately pear shaped now but become more hourglass as I lose weight. I have always had proportionatly large limbs even when slender. For me, the fat off my thighs only is lost with weight but I still retain large thighs once the fat is minimal.0 -
who hates the pear shape? I am a pear and I like it. I think I'm like 33-27.5-410
-
Whoever hates a nice juicy plump pear hasn't ever sunken their teeth into one......0

well lets get some no shape love...here...lol....i have grown up playing sports and really have no fruit shape to call myself...i really have no curves and i am thick, but i have like a box shape....so no shape and fruit shapes unite.0

Being a pear shape is hard. I think for myself i have always felt that its super hard for me to wear shorts and feel comfortable bc of my thighs. I feel as tho i have tree trunk thighs, plus im not super tall (five one)... somebody else commented is this where all the thigh gap love comes from, pears. I think that comment would ring true (Even though you made a rude comment afterwards) Its hard to feel as though your thighs are slim and small. Every time you sit down, they get even bigger! And the booty is def contributing to this feeling. On top of that, any other pear shape will tell you how hard it really is to find jeans and shorts to fit your body shape. No matter what, all pants have a huge gap that you can stuff a person into! I think it comes down to a self-conscious issue of your thighs and how they are proportioned to the rest of your body, not hate.0

Where did you get your idea of the shapes? Are you sure you are not talking about ruler or flute shape?0 -

I think it's harder to lose weight being a pear comparing to apple or ruler. Apples rulers can literall run off the pounds. But pears have to do lots more work for the result to show.0 -
The only reason why I would even think to hate "pear shaped" ladies is because I'm not one myself...lol! I'm apple shaped and would be soooo happy to be pear shaped. I must work with what I have though0

Pear shapes have booty. That's all I need to know.
