Any suggestions? what do you eat if you run out of "space" in your food diary? I would exercise and earn some points, but I'm working and can't.

I would eat a piece of fruit and a piece of cheese. Protein and fiber and complex carbs all together will help keep your tummy in balance for awhile.0

eat. the world's not going to end if you're a couple hundred calories over.0
-
eat a protein bar, or just eat whatever you want and make up for it tomorrow.0

I would agree. Sometimes it's better to go ahead and eat something healthy and filling, even if you go over.0 -
When I'm in this situation, I either say screw it and eat something (a protein and a fiber as the other person suggested) or I thank my lucky stars for one of those painful learning experiences that you never forget and starve until tomorrow. I am always much more careful after that.0

You can get away with eating cantelope or rockmelon as we call here.. its low in calories and it wont hurt to snack on that... if youve got no calories left at all and your hungry still drink water and keep on drinking it .. it will fill your tummy i do this myself when i get hungry as i dont want to go over my calories... but remember to listen to your body too.. it could be telling you a reason why its hungryAny suggestions? what do you eat if you run out of "space" in your food diary? i see a little baby in your photo. if you're breastfeeding, you'll want to eat.0

You've got yourself on a 1200 calorie diet...that's really steep. Consider some extra wiggle room. Good Job on your water!!!0
-
Have something reasonable and start fresh tomorrow.0
-
Try and drink a tall glass of water and see how you feel. If you are still hungry, eat a small piece of fruit or some vegetables. Low in calories, but filling0

pickles!0

FRUIT!0
-
Gum! Gum helps me!0

I eat pickles and salad with no dressing, veggies. So you may want to try it.0
-
Strawberries. Minimal calories, quite filling & a ton of vitamin C
I'm assuming you have a desk job, or something with little activity?0 -
Filling vegetables I've been chowing down on salad when I get hungry at night now, but I like lettuce and spinach without and salad dressing. Fruit is good too.0

Eat some fruit and/or vegetables, or nothing. Drink water.

I see that your goals is 1200 cals per day.
Eat 300 more, you'll be golden.0 -
Took a look at your diary. You're on the low end and may want to consider bumping up to 1400-1600 anyway, depending on your basal metabolic rate (bmr) and total daily energy expenditure (tdee). Bmr shows how much your body needs just to run its functions while resting, while tdee calculates how many calories you burn per day, based on activity level. Both can be calculated online, just Google them. You generally want to aim for in between those two numbers.
Eat something worth a couple hundred calories today, and get reset tomorrow.
I started out following 1200 plus eating back exercise calories. Being hungry all the time isn't healthy, and neither is increased hair shedding. I experienced both until I increased calories.
Edited to add:
Might want to consider changing your ratios for carbs, fat and protein. If you go into Goals, you can choose custom settings instead of guided. Go to the carb/fat/protein percentages and change the ratio to something like 40%carb, 30%fat, 30%protein. Protein helps repair and build muscles, and maintain muscle.0 -
I say eat something healthy, otherwise you might end up completely ravenous and eat something even worse! Tomorrow is a new day0
-
if i were you, i'd just grab a 200 calorie meal and just learn from whatever mistakes you made today.0
-
If you dont want to just eat something, you can always work it off and earn yourself more calories!0
-
eat something healthy...going over is not the end of the world. One snack won't break you either. I often have lots of calories left but days where I go over....0
-
I love to make a HUGE salad with 5-6 cups of greens and about 2TBSP of a dressing that is 50 calories or less.... sometimes topped with about 110 calories worth of grilled chicken if I need more protein.
Strawberries or cantaloupe are also some favs!
I agree- the world won't end if you got a hundred or two over.0 -
Obviously many people will have different opinons but personally I wouldn't eat anything else and take it as a lesson/learning experience. If you eat junk you'll go hungry.0
-
I usually do Pineapple, Mini Rice Cakes (by quaker), or Wheat Thins with a big glass of water or a Minute Maid Light Lemonade (only 5 calories a can!)0

you have to look inside yourself and decide what YOU want to do, not what other people tell you to do. If you set your calories at 1200, and you ate them all and don't want to eat any more then don't. drink some water and struggle through it. that is just one approach.
many would not agree with that statement and they are not wrong to disagree. allowing yourself to suffer or feel starved is self punishment and you never want to associate self punishment with eating better or losing weight, you will fail. you will end up sneaking food and feeling worse.
so either raise your caloric intake or make better choices with your calories. eat big salads, like use a whole head of romaine and put delicious things on it like chicken, or nuts and goat cheese but mostly lettuce. stuff yourself until you are full or make 3 little salads to get you through the night.
if you are feeling so deprived that you had to put up a post about it, you are obviously really suffering right now and my inclination would be to tell you to have a sensible snack because you shouldn't be feeling this way. staying under your caloric goal should make you feel proud not deprived.
maybe make some plain oatmeal or something because it will fill you up, or eat some toast. carbs fill me up so i eat them in moderation in between meals of lots of raw veggies.
try starting your day off with toast and oatmeal for breakfast, i find that it keeps me stable throughout the day. i chew gum too when i have a sweet tooth. im not telling you to use gum as a way to starve yourself, just to keep your mouth busy.
anyway good luck.0 -
Almond, strawberries, veggies. It is OK to have some extra calories once a while but not junk healthy food. You can try to drink a cup of Good Earth Original Tea, Sweet & Spicy. It is sweet and spicy, so tasty. no sugar, all natural, zero calories 6 grams of carbs only.0

You could consume the calories now, and go for a walk after you finish your shift. You can spend them before you earn them lol like my paychecks hahaha0
-
A low calorie lentil based soup would be my choice in that situation - plus a few large glasses of water.0
