Larabars and Gnu Flavor & Fiber bars are my favorites right now.
I actually made these last week and liked them:

Next I'd like to try to make my own bars that are like Larbars, seems like they will be easy to make.

I have always wanted to try and make my own bars but they always came out terrible. I really want to try and make some new and see if I could make them better :)

I remeber trying a version of a protein bar a couple years ago that I did not like, but I was happy with this one. It came out as a soft texture, almost like a larbar but even softer. Here is the next one I want to try which really seems like the ones I just tried, minus the quinoa.

Oh and if you like oatmeal you might like something like this, its not exactly a bar but a firmed up oatmeal that is easy to make a bunch to have on hand for breakfast, snacks or whatever. You can add in whatever fruit or sweeteners you like. I just made it with apple chunks and it was really good but my favorit way is with peanut butter and bananas.

I go pass the bars and go to Quakers Rice Cakes, there on 50 calories each and now they come in different flavors (corn candy, apples, chocolate). They taste so much better now and they even have bites (ranch, cheddar cheese, etc.) they have really improved. I would love to each the bars but watching the calories.

I am new to the bars, but my favorites so far are Zone Perfect White Chocolate Macadamia 210 calories and 14 protein.

I like the Atkins Advantage Caramel Chocolate Peanut Nougat Bar 180 calories, 10 grams of protein, net 3 g carbs and

South Beach Diet Protein Fit Peanut Butter 140 calories 9 grams of protein. I seem to like the ones that have more fat. I think that will change as my taste buds change.

well, keeping with your question of the BEST BARS....I like:

detour low sugar bars --chocolate chip = yum!

luna nutz over chocolate and white chocolate macadamia nut

fiber one oats and caramel and the oats and chocolate

    fiber plus coconut and chocolate

Love all of these! I have never tried the detour bars but will be on the look out for them. I looooove the fiber one bars for a quick sweet fix when I'm desperate! Trader joes makes their own brand as well with stats that are almost identical.

Blech! I just had one of the Kashi Honey Almond Flax bars the other day and didn't like it at all. It's a good thing that we all don't like the same things!

My favorite lately is the Zone Perfect Cashew Pretzel protein bars.
