Drinking water is good. Forcing water in short periods of time is stupid,..... unless you're with the CIA and questioning a terrorist.
Actually it is very healthy to drink water. For a 200lbs male/female you are required to drink atleast 100oz of water a day just to stay hydrated. Now if you're 120lbs soaking wet then thats a different story.0 -
Finally done! I hve to admit . . . I wasn't hungry at all today. Definitely will make it easier to drink my 8.0

100oz over a day may be good (I dunno I live in england and we work in ml) but if you were to try and force the same amount in lets say 30 minutes it strips the cells in the body and can ultimately kill you.
Drinking water is good. Forcing water down in a short period of time when the body is trying to stop you is bad.

I am editing my posting, it sounded too mean and did not represent well what I wanted to say. I think there is validity in being careful of the amount of water you consume. Also, there is not any science behind needing excessive amounts of water (even 8 glasses a day is not needed). We need to be cautious to not pursue a diversion of some sort (like doing a water overload diet) instead of attacking the real problem of eating too many calories and not enough exercise and making a long-term life style change.0 -
Well, I drank 100 oz over the course of the day and I'm still ticking!! In fact, I usually drink around 80 oz per day and feel great and still manage to not kill myself! :laugh:
I think what maybe created the misconception that we were torturing ourselves with water is the name "Water Challenge". It did not mean that I was sitting at my desk chugging water from a milk carton- now that, would be "stupid" as you put it.0 -

I'm a day late... but I'll do it with ya- I try to drink minimum of 100 oz a day.0
