Off topic, but I thought you meant salsa dancing! One of my favorite forms of exercise!

As for salsa for dipping, I use Pace chunky, add a little diced garden fresh tomato, diced avocado, garlic powder, and lime. If I have the calories, I put some cream cheese on the side too. Perhaps splurge on the cream cheese then salsa dance to work it off? :P

Here is my new favorite recipe for salsa!

    10 peeled tomatoes
    2 green peppers
    3 Habenaro peppers
    1/2 Onion
    1 1/2 tsp. cumin powder
    1/4 cup vinegar
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp sugar
    1 can tomato paste
    dash red pepper

It is a nice sweet salsa with a very tiny kick! We had this at my nephew's birthday party this weekend and the whole quart jar was gone before we knew it!

Mine is a chillis copycat recipe

I can whole peeled tomatoes drained
    1/2 onion
1 jalapeño or several rings from jar
    1 "squirt" of lime juice
    Garlic powder to taste
    Salt to taste
    Pepper to taste
    Cumin to taste

Usually about a few shakes of each container is where I start

Put in food processor or blender and blend for a few seconds. Best after its been in fridge for an hour or more. If you like the stuff at Mexican restaraunts that's what it tastes like.

I don't really measure but here goes my favorite fresh salsa recipe:

    4 tomatoes
    1 15oz can diced tomatoes(not stewed)
    1 small white onion
handful of jalapenos(I leave seeds in 'cause I like it HOT)
    1-2 anahiem peppers
    1 4oz can tomato sauce
    1-2 gloves of garlic
    1tsp cumin
    1tsp chili powder
    1 handful cilantro
    salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp or so of fresh lime juice

Put all in food processor and blend. Chips and salsa is the breakfast of champions

    Fruit salsa

    1 container of strawberries
    3-4 kiwis
    2-3 apples(any kind)
    1/2 c fresh blueberries
    2TBLS brown sugar

Dice up all fruit(except blueberries) into little diced pieces. Throw in blueberries, stir in brown sugar and let set for 2-3 hours. Serve with cinnamon tortillas...Spread a little butter on tortilla, sprinkle sugar and cinnamon, cut into triangles, bake until starting to crisp up. Or just eat with a spoon, which is what we usually do.

I just made this one and it was fabulous -- http://www.food.com/recipe/diners-freezer-salsa-12275

I had a ton of tomatoes so looked for one that would freeze. I haven't thawed any yet and tried it but the stuff I had before I froze the rest was super good. I doubled the jalapenos and didn't add habaneros (I didn't have any) and the spice was good but I like mine really hot.

I think I could find a way to put salsa on everything I eat...

Breakfast- Egg substitute omelet with green peppers, jalapenos, onions, tomatoes, fat free cheese, and of course- topped with salsa.

Snack- Green pepper slices dipped in a salsa-roasted red pepper hummus mix.

Lunch- Fresh greens salad with onions, tomatoes, sliced almonds, sliced grilled chicken strips, 1/2 of a Wholly guacamole 100 calorie pack, and topped with salsa

Dinner- Grilled chicken breast seasoned with salt-free southwest seasoning, topped with a pinch of fat free cheese, steamed broccoli with garlic and a squirt of spray butter, and brown rice seasoned with the same southwest seasoning. I put salsa on the chicken and rice.

    My favorite dishes. MMMMM

Love salsa!! I made this one last weekend for a cookout and it was gone in less than 10 minutes! I made it exactly as the recipe says.

    Mango Avocado Salsa

    Ingredients

1 mango - peeled, seeded and diced
1 avocado - peeled, pitted, and diced
    4 medium tomatoes, diced
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
    1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
    1/4 cup chopped red onion
    3 tablespoons olive oil
    Directions

In a medium bowl, combine the mango, avocado, tomatoes, jalapeno, cilantro, and garlic. Stir in the salt, lime juice, red onion, and olive oil. To blend the flavors, refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving.
