It was kinda funny to read this today of all days. My husband and I were just talking this morning and I was saying how it is nice to finally for the first time in our 12 years be able to look in the mirror and not be wider than him. He is 5'9 and weighs about 195 and average size but very muscular in his upper body. With the recent 44 lbs I have lost I am finally weighing less and looking smaller. So I can totally understand how you feel.

Yes, when I started here I weighed almost exactly twice his weight. I'm 5'4" and he's 5'7". I've got a long, long way to go before I weigh less than he does though.

Mine is about 1 inch taller, and although I don't think he's lighter (no idea what his weight is), he is A LOT skinnier. Especially his legs! When I sit next to him on the couch and I look at our legs it looks like I'm the man and he's the woman!! It's annoying, but it's also a good source for jokes (from both sides, and not in a mean way :)).

    I can totally relate here.

I'm not married but I've been dating my boyfriend for a year and a half now. I used to be 5' 5" and 190 pounds when we got together. He's 6' 1" and weighs around 210. While I didn't weigh MORE than him, I wouldn't ever let him try to pick me up or anything. No piggyback rides. And I've ALWAYS been this way with every guy I've dated. I've either been heavier than or the weights were too close for me to feel much like a woman in comparison.

Totally different now. I'm at 155 and he's the same height/weight and he works out every day. It made my entire LIFE when he picked me up and spun me around and said I was really light (it's a long distance relationship so I don't see him much)! If I ever had a motivation to keep losing weight until I reach my goal. It's THAT FEELING, right there!

My husband and I are the same height (although he SWEARS he's an inch taller!) and I'm just a few pounds heavier now, but I lost 43 lbs so far. He's super skinny even though he eats like crap, which doesn't really help me either...

My husband is 1 inch shorter and 25 lbs lighter, but we are both at our goal weights and don't want to lose or gain anything.

I am about an inch taller at 5'9" and he is 5'8". When we met I was really thin and he was thinner than he is now. He is doing this weight loss journey with me to support me. When we started he weighed less than I did. He has lost 55lbs and I have lost 75lbs and he still weighs less then I do but not by a lot. I hope I will eventually weigh less than he does but I am a bit taller so I would be ok if we were about the same weight. I just want to be a hot wife he can be proud of!

Yes. I am heavier than Merv for sure. He's 5'11 and I'm 5'8" and about 40lb's heavier.. I despise it of myself. The day I can wear his jeans to walk out and meet him as he's coming home from work will be a long awaited goal. Or even to feel tiny against his chest.. hmm.. novel concept. Maybe even to catch a few eyes and let him know how it feels when he's ooglin..

Ive been with my hubby for over 15 yrs and only recently weigh less than him- and am soooo happy about that!!
Cant wait till he can carry me over the threshold!!I Wont let him try till Im 120 something.

He is 10 yrs younger than me and until he reached 40 was always underweight. Now at 47 he is a little overweight.
Its been fun watching him gray, needing eyeglasses etc All the things he used to tease me about. Now he sees alittle bit how easy it is to gain weight the older you get. He started watching his weight some about a yr ago. his metabolism is sooo much faster than mine. darn-

recently we were neck in neck(ha) as far as weight goes, til i recently surpassed him.Since he loses quicker it will probably be that way for awhile.

Its nice having him be more on the same page.He doesnt like to go for walks but we plan on joining a gym soon.

I have been heavier than my husband the whole time we have been married. He stayed the same and I kept gaining. At one point I weighed 100 pounds more than him. :grumble: I remember well the day I realized I finally weighed less than him. I was very happy about it. I know he loves me for who I am and not what I look like, but I was not comfortable being the heavier one.

I'm not married, but I have been heavier than a boyfriend.

He was on the very thin side, but it still bothered me.

When we met 12yrs ago, we weighed about the same. When I started my weight loss journey 2 yrs ago, he was 5'11" about 210lbs, and I am 5'9" and used to weigh 254lbs. I looked like I could eat him lol. Now I weigh 168lbs and he weighs about 220-230lbs.
He can now pick me up though :) I havent been with a guy that could physically pick me up since my ex back in college :)

Did you eat back your 'exercise' calories?

    ...and it's 132 lbs, not 138, hun.
