10 lbs by Thanksgiving!

I am setting a S.M.A.R.T. goal for myself of losing 10 lbs by Thanksgiving. That gives me 58 days, I think 10 lbs is very realistic. I will weigh in on Mondays and Thursdays. Anyone else interested in losing 10 lbs by Thanksgiving?

Current Weight: 145
Goal Weight: 135

I will be eating around 1200-1300 calories a day and working out (running/Ripped in 30/Butt Bible) 5 days a week. My weakness is chips! I've not met many chips I haven't liked so I'll be using lots of willpower to avoid them during the next 58 days!

  • I better lose 10lbs or more by then, or I'll be highly pissed off at myself. If I don't lose the weight, I sure as hell better look better & have lost inches!
  • Okay...I'm in! This is my first post, even though I've been on MFP for two months now. I need to stay focused and determined as we head into my busiest time of year. Ten pounds will put me under 200 for the first time in over five years!! But to do that, I also need to plan well for tournament days (I coach speech & debate) so that I'm not tempted by all the junk my students bring to the tournament. So this is a very S.M.A.R.T. goal for me, too! Let's do it!

    I want to loose 30 by Feb, I'm already down 5 since I started. It's not that hard so you will loose that weight by Thanksgiving :)

    I'm already doing 20 lbs by Christmas so 10 lbs by Thanksgiving should work out perfectly!!

    Count me in- I need to do this- I am working on the book "Run your butt off". Add me as a friend, and I will try to keep up some motivation if you help me.

    I have a total of 39.8 that I want to lose by March 31/2013.

    I am in. I am hoping to lose 18 pounds before a wedding on December 21sr - so 10 by Thanksgiving would work for me.

    I'm in. Especially knowing I'll probably gain it all back during that weekend. My goal is to walk 2 miles at least 3 times per week. This week I did 2 miles on Sunday and over 3 on Monday. Walking again tonight. Calories under 1590.

    Mini Goal (thanksgiving) : 145 =D Oh my gawsh... if this happens I will be doing a happy dance and squealing. LOL.

    I eat back exercise calories and try to keep my net high enough so I don't slow my metabolism down... so I might only lose 5-8 lbs Instead of 10+ . But I will be happy if I don't binge OR overeat for the next 57 days!! that would be progress for me.

    I'm in! I would like to be under 200 by Christmas, so that's 27.8 lbs in about 12 weeks and then I can work on my goal of my "goal weight" by my anniversary (July 4th).

    CW: 227.8
    Thanksgiving goal: 217.8
    Christmas goal: 199.9
    GW: 130 by July 4, 2013
