I drink green smoothies, here is my approximate recipe:
2 cups chopped kale
1 cup spinach or chard
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup (sometimes more) water
few pieces of frozen mango (easier to store and doesn't go bad)
small piece of fresh fruit if desired (i dont mind it tasting like veggies so i try to not add much fruit, but when I do it's blueberries or banana)
Blend!
Sometimes I will add 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder. This smoothie takes a little getting used to then becomes super addictive. Sometimes I make more than a glass and stick the extra in the fridge for the next day and blend with ice.
Enjoy0 -
Sadly, I bought a bullet about 2-3 weeks ago and I have only made one smoothie since then. I was sooo hungry an hour later that I haven't made any others. I'll be checking out the ideas posted here0

BANANA ICE CREAM
Chop bananas.
Freeze bananas.
Blend in blender until soft-serve consistency. (If your blender sucks you might need a splash of milk)
Add flavoring of choice and blend it in.
Scream.
Encourage somebody else to scream.
Encourage everyone in your immediate vicinity to scream.
Receive ice cream.
The last four steps are very important. Do not skip them ever.
You just made me laugh out loud at my desk. And the recipe sounds fabulous!0 -

Best breakfast ever! And you can change it up with all sort of different fruit (I never use bananas). I skip the honey because I find the fruit makes it sweet enough. I'm also lactose intolerant so I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk and instead of greek yogurt I put a little bit of ground flaxseed for some good fat (thought I'm thinking the yogurt would make it nice and creamy). ENJOY!
Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie:
1 cup ice
1 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup plain 0% fat Greek yogurt
1 banana, peeled
1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 Tbsp honey
1 cup fat-free milk, or milk of choice
Directions:
Place ice and raspberries in the bottom of blender, and all other ingredients on top. Whir until completely smooth. Yield: 2 servings (about 1 3/4 cup each).

That's the kind that I meant but you could probably replace them with a scoop of protein powder instead.0 -

2 cloves garlic
2 tb. honey
1/2 lime, juice
dash of salt
canned or fresh jalapeno to taste (start with 2-3)
