Slate says that the price will go up, but there is no reason to stock up. The so-called "bacon shortage" is a lot of hype. They report that the the UK bacon is not what the US calls bacon, plus the real problem is corn. All food prices will be headed up due to the drought, but there is no real shortage. No need to panic.

It's the porkageddon. We must save the bacon!
