edited December 2024 in Success Stories
I started this on 09/23/2012 at 380 pounds, that was my real start, I started roughly, I restricted way to far down on week days (1200 a day) and way under restricted on the weekends (eating between 2-4 thousand calories a day) In March I started on Myfitnesspal I was at 340. I am now 280 pounds. I still have roughly 130 pounds to go, but this was a huge milestone and I wanted to share with everyone

(I may have to edit the pictures)
This was actually taken in January of 2011 but I really didn't change any up until September when I actually started. This is also the only photo in existence of me this big. I will not delete it because I now know what i Never want to be again.

Here is me starting at MFP (those are the same clothes in the picture above and picture below. I wanted a comparison picture ^.^)

Any way I've come a long way, I've walked to work most everyday since September, I started out walking that mile in an hour and a half, and today I made it in 22 minutes and 7 seconds. So yup, thats my bragging

Your story about shortening your walk to work brought tears to my eyes. Now that's determination, dedication, and success! You have made incredible progress!
  • That's a huge accomplishment! I can relate because I started at 366. It takes me anywhere from 22-30 minutes to do my mile, and that's with me on the treadmill, literally dying. Outside, it's even slower because I wouldn't really have the courage to run as fast outside.

You're a huge inspiration for me right now, I can't wait to be down to that weight aswell! Congratulations :O

Thank you so much *hugs* I have a hard time walking fast outside to, its hard knowing that people will be judging you, and as much as I want to say they won't, people always will. But you know what, you are the only person that counts, because you are making yourself better. I did try running for a bit, but I just didn't like it much, I like walking better, although that could change ^.^ Just gotta roll with it

  • Wow, that is awesome. You look great and you are an inspiration. I started this journey on Sept 9th, 2012. So just a few weeks into it. And I started out at 257. I want to lose 100 lbs. So what did you do? Just watch calories and walk? Do you just walk a mile, or more, ???? I am just needing help on where to start. I have lost 4 lbs and don't know if that's a good start or not.
