My wife walked down the aisle to "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," by Roberta Flack.

She and I walked back down the aisle to "Sugar Magnolia," by the Grateful Dead.

I'm not married, but my boyfriend and I both totally geeked out when Offbeat Bride posted their list of offbeat processional themes. Pretty much every song on there made us go OMGTHISISAWESOMEJHASJKFHAKJHF. I especially loved the idea of the Game of Thrones opening, and he loved the Jurassic Park theme!

I'm just not a fan of traditional wedding music, so I'll be damned if "Here Comes the Bride: plays at my wedding! Or Canon in D.

Engaged and wedding planning, I think I want to walk down the aisle to a guitar version of "The Rainbow Connection."

I DID want our first dance to be "The Luckiest" but from this thread it looks like everyone uses that in some way or another, so now I'm gonna have to get creative haha!

I'm Gonna Miss Her by Brad Paisley:

    Well I love her
    And I love to fish
I spend all day out on this lake
And hell is all I catch
Today she met me at the door
Said I would have to choose
If I hit that fishin' hole today
She'd be packin' all her things
And she'd be gone by noon

    Well I'm gonna miss her
    When I get home
But right now I'm on this lake shore
And I'm sittin' in the sun
    I'm sure it'll hit me
When I walk through that door tonight
    That I'm gonna miss her
Oh, lookie there, I've got a bite

Now there's a chance that if I hurry
I could beg her to stay
    But that water's right
    And the weather's perfect
No tellin' what I might catch today

    Well I'm gonna miss her
    When I get home
But right now I'm on this lake shore
And I'm sittin' in the sun
    I'm sure it'll hit me
When I walk through that door tonight
    That I'm gonna miss her
    Oh, lookie there, another bite

It is a joke between my Hubby and I and I wanted him to enjoy the wedding as much as I did - the look on our guests faces who didn't know about it was priceless

I loved a lot of my wedding songs, I spent a lot of time thinking about it!

Walking up the aisle, I used "River flows in you" by Yiruma....YES, it was supposed to be in the Twilight movie, don't judge....it wasn't in the movie but when you google it, sometimes Twilight stuff comes up. I loved it, it is sooo pretty and different than usual. Love, love it.

For my bridesmaids I used "Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israle Kamakawiwo'ol, which was awesome.

Walking back down the aisle with my hubby, I used "1, 2, 3, 4" by the Plain White T's....I wanted something fun and happy....it was cute, I loved it.
    :)

This has to be a name thing! I'm an amymichelle and we are using the same Plain White T's song at our wedding in March!

For my first marriage I used Pachabel's Canon in D. That marriage ended in divorce.

For my current marriage, I had no wedding songs as I got married in the courthouse. Best $60 I ever spent. This time around being married was more important to me than having a big wedding. I'm not knocking big weddings by any means; I'm just saying my priorities changed. If I were to have saved for another wedding, we still wouldn't be married and that just didn't fly with me.

However.... I plan on having a vow renewal ceremony for our 10th anniversary. Then I will probably use I Can't Help Falling in Love ... it's not traditional by any means, but I'm not a traditional gal and that song definitely describes us.

When we got married it was the traditional. Now as a wedding photographer I probably have heard so many beautiful songs. We are doing a vow renewal. So I was thinking of Canon D, maybe in steel drums....not sure at this point. Then after, I may want our song, I Can't Help Falling in Love with You. It is an oldie but a goodie. My daughter had If, by Bread. It was beautiful as well.

"Trumpet Voluntary" was my processional march....just loved that music.

Our song was "You're My Inspiration"....but since we got divorced, I guess he wasn't.

We walked to the wedding march at the church.
We walked out at the reception to the Jeffersons theme song "Movin on Up"
Our first dance was Frank Sinatra's "Fly me to the moon"
