I am saving this for later. I have had spaghetti squash only one time and it was a middle eastern set of flavors. If I can find the recipe I will edit this message and add it, because it was really good!

    I don't get it... sorry I guess I'm dense.

How do you make it look like pasta?

And in the OP, what is meant by "clean it?" Seems weird to actually clean it after cutting it in half so I think I must be missing something.....

I've never done anything with this veggie before but would like to.

That's how a Spaghetti Squash is, you scoop it out like a Cantaloupe and can discard that part or separate the seeds and roast them like Pumpkin seeds! What's left is 2 halves, you bake that, microwave it or whatever method you decide on. When it's cooked you pull a fork through it and it will come out like strands that mimic spaghetti noodles. Once you cut into the squash it'll make more sense..

Hope that helps with a mind picture a bit. :flowerforyou: http://video.about.com/americanfood/Spaghetti-Squash.htm

I make my own homemade meat sauce (ground turkey) with lots of vegetables and use it as spaghetti!

Love this one, and have made it with chicken in it like a casserole. Would also like to try it this way with turkey sausage and eggs like a breakfast casserole.

the squash, after cooked, shreds out and will look like strands of spaghetti. Its the way the squash is and the fibers of it are. When cleaning it, she might be saying scoop out the seeds.

    Its very tasty :)

They really are huge this year. I made one last week, ate 2 cups and froze the rest!
I like mine with red sauce & romano cheese.
