How many languages do you speak?

I speak 2. Now I'm trying to learn Mandarin or Arabic.

    1, English.

    Except I did take Spanish for 5 years but I can't fluently speak it. I know some Italian as well.

    I am fluent in English, my BR Portuguese is pretty good and I am working on Spanish because my daughter is fluent in Spanish from her immersion school.

    3 fluently (English, Spanish, French) Raised, born, and lived in these cultures.
    German advanced (currently living)
    Some Italian and Portuguese
    I've studied and lost a half-dozen others. Am working on Arabic a little and Ladakhi.

    My daughters speak 3 or 4 languages to varying degrees.
    I've spent much more time on how-to-speak-any-language.com than here. Recommended...

    But I'm actually Persian so just out of what I hear my parents speak I can understand Dari Farsi and some Kurdish.

    I took 4 years of Spanish, and all I came away with it was being able to read it. I really wish I would have paid better attention. I can speak basic common words, and cuss like a sailor but that's it.
