when I make face masks, I grind the sugar in our coffee grinder... it makes it less gritty and easier on the skin.

    Good tip! Thanks :))

I don't use a sugar scrub on my face, but I do use one on my legs. It's basically just coconut oil, sugar, and fresh lemon juice. Makes your legs super smooth!

I wonder how this would be for acne? My son is really struggling with breakouts.

Okay, so once again, I'm not a specialist, but if it's really bad acne I wouldn't necessarily use the sugar, but if he's not allergic to honey, I don't see it doing any harm to his skin. Lemon is usually the best for most types of skin so I would try lemon+honey once and see the results. Otherwise, I don't know if you know the brand Lush Cosmetics (it's a very natural and eco-friendly brand and it's present in many countries now) but they have a fresh mask called Cosmetic Warrior that (if you can stomach the smell - I can't) is supposed to be quite good against spots and such. Or they have a product called Dark Angels (my favorite) which is really awesome for people struggling with acne and oily skin.

GREAT tip! Here's something I've noticed has improved my skin: More sweat, less makeup.

It's true! (Well as long as you wash off that sweat fairly quickly) :O)
