yes and please..especially if it is homemade wheat pizza with a ton of veggies! I like mine BBQ.
We cannot give up everything....just modify.0 -
I believe that maintaining the foods you enjoy (moderated) is necessary to make a lifestyle change over a simple diet. I don't even go so far as to make a healthy pizza. I work the local pizza joint pie into my daily calorie goals and enjoy.
Good luck.0 -
yes as long as youve earned it0

Yes, and loaded up with greasy meat from the local pizzeria would be even better.0
-
i do it all the time.0

Delissio, thin crust, canadian or spinach/chicken/tomato... almost once a week.
mmmmm....0 -
I made a pizza last weekend and my family loved it... It was Pilsbury Artisan Whole Grain Crust with my own pizza sauce (made with paste and herbs), low sodium turkey pepperoni, low-fat cheese, tomatoes, peppers, onions, Turned out wonderful - I have been asked to make this at least once a month.0
-
down almost 70 pounds since january. pizza once a week or so has been a part of my weight loss. but now i eat two slices instead of 3 or 4.0
-
I prefer white flour in my pizza, but go for it.0
-
I have homemade pizza once a week!!! MMMMMMMMM!!! :bigsmile:0

Eat well at least 80% of the time and indulge 20% of the time (as a ratio of calories) and you'll still win.0
-
Yeah just in controlled amounts, and not even healthy ones :P0

:indifferent:
Pizza Hut once a week with a pint of the Captain.0 -
I have no desire to live the rest of my life without ever having a slice of pizza so yes, have some pizza if you want. Nobody got fat cause they eat pizza now and then.0

Wholeweat pizza homemade?
Well if it's whole wheat then no, as that should prob never ever be eaten.
I made a pizza last night, chicken saltimbocca pizza0 -
I eat whatever I want, just every other day, and make up for it on my semi-fasting days. That includes pizza sometimes. YUM!0

Wholeweat pizza homemade?
Why not just get or make good pizza?0 -
I eat pizza all the time - just watch the calories and try to make your own with veggie toppings and light sauce. It helps! I could never live without pizza!0
-
eat the greasiest cheesiest pizza you can find every once in awhile. no biggie. as long as its every once in awhile.0
-
I usually eat pizza once a week still...once I switched to homemade pizza over the summer using grilled chicken I had it even more than that sometimes. If it stays in my calorie limits, I'm eating it0
-
When I want pizza I will use a pita as a crust. This way it's portion controlled and so yummy with a little cheese and LOTS of veggies! Sometimes I do whole wheat pita....sometimes just white.0
-
If I gave up pizza, I'd of fallen off the wagon week one. :noway: I just eat 1 or 2 slices instead of a pizza. xD0
-
I love making pita pizzas. I top it with a lot of veggies, and some ham or sausage. Its always under 500 cal and sometimes under 400.0
-
It's twice-a-week-in-a-while or me. Then again, I do 4-5 mile runs.
It's all relative...do you have enough of a calorie deficit during the week to afford the pizza? Homemade is healthier than what you can buy in the store and thin-crust is lower cal than the deep-dish versions.0 -
Thats perfectly fine. & if its homemade it can actually be healthy.
Pizza as seen as a crappy food because the type you can get in frozen food isles & at most pizza chains is made from white flour, high-fat cheese, and high-fat toppings like pepperoni & sausage. Making it yourself and turning all those ingredients into healthy ones will not only save calories but can add lots of nutrients, especially if you include veggies!0 -
ive always just loved working out, so eating things that weren't that healthy isn't a problem. You do it long enough, the crappy food starts to taste crappy most of the time.0
-
Yum! I still order a pizza once a week! I just eat 2 slices now instead of 3 lol.0

We have a pizza oven in the backyard - hubby would die if we didn't use it! It's quite easy to control when I make everything from scratch - homemade whole wheat dough, homemade sauce, veggie toppings, minimal cheese (low-fat) and for ours it's better if we go light on the toppings anyway. I'm not really restricting my carbs so much as I am just making sure I use whole grains and no processed foods where possible. We both plan for it though - so we aren't eating all day and night too.0
-
Also, on one of my best weight-loss weeks, one night I ordered an entire thin-crust Domino's, and ate the whole thing, which put me over maintenance cals for that day. Go figure.0
