I am in and today will be my first day. Does anyone have any advice for those pedometers that seem to reset themselves because of a little overhang if you know what I mean or am I just not doing something right?
I had one that had a button on the bottom that I kept resetting - I actually took it apart and removed the plastic outside button so I had to use a pen to reset it.
The $5 Sportline one from Walmart and the New balance Via Slim both have buttons on the face and I do not recall ever accidentally resetting either of them.0 -

Every day I think that the shorter daylight hours will slow down my walking but it hasn't happened yet. The dogs and I actually walk faster when it's dark in the morning because we have to stay on the lighted streets instead of wandering around in the grassy areas where they slow down to sniff around. Today I am going to two line dance classes (teaching the one in the afternoon), so I'll be active but the dance steps don't all show up on the pedometer.0 -

Yesterday, I wore two pedometers. My belt clip pendulum, which recorded 13,833 steps and a new pocket omni-direction model which recorded 14,258. When I started the new one yesterday, it seemed like it wasn't counting my steps at all, so I decided to wear both just to be sure I didn't miss any since I've been behind all month allready. So, I am really surprised that the omni counter caught up and passed the pendelum counter. Naturally, I'm going to claim the higher number today :laugh:0 -
