You all are so nice! thanks so much! I think I may do an up-do because my hair is so long it comers most of the jeweled back strap. I may just go with some earrings or a bracelet0

If you like it,
then rock it
I think you look beautiful in it, it really matches your hair and skin tone!0 -
I think you look awesome in that dress.
Please leave your hair down. I speak for 99% of men when I say we like long hair.0 -

Maybe a down but pulled to one side style?0 -
You look amazing!! Congratulations on your weight loss!!
As the others have said, the dress looks great on you. The tummy issues, spanx or any other kind of slimming under garment can help with that.0 -
I'm gonna try to look for some that are short so It doesn't show. I'm sure they make some just for the lower tummy. Thanks!!0

I don't like the cut of the dress to be honest even though the color is cute on you. I would get a new one that is also long because you are going to a Winter Prom.0

I love the color. The stomach isn't really a problem, just get one of those air balls and start doing situps...you'll be set by the time of the dance (or do the spandex stuff). The only thing I'd be worried about is that little train in the back. I went to a dance once and the hem wasn't high enough off the floor and ended up stepping on the edge and ripping the dress.
Also, did you try moving in it? Basically, act like you'd be dancing on the dance floor and see how comfy it feels. If you feel like you're not comfortable moving in it...I'd reconsider and find something you can move in. It is very pretty on you...just thinking you need to consider the movement issue especially if you're used to dress that doesn't get in your way while dancing.0 -

Like an exercise ball? Thanks!
I was a little worried about the train too... I guess I'll see what happens
It feels pretty good when I move around (like dancing) in it.0 -
Yep. An exercise ball...they do wonders for the stomach area. That's great! It looks like you picked a winner!!0

It looks great on you - enjoy your night!0

I think it looks nice and it's a suitable winter color.0

Thanks! I have one and I'll definitely start using it more!0 -
Thanks so much everyone! I'm gonna go for it.. If by December I havent tightened up my lower tummy I'll go for some spanx. You all are so helpful and nice!0

I agree with just the bracelet and earrings (maybe some rhinestone drops?)..... I am torn about your hair!! LOL I think putting it up would emphasize the back (which is awesome!) But, a nice sideswept 'do would be very romantic as well. No matter what, you'll be a stunner!!0

It looks great! but if you're still insecure, just wear control panties underneath :-)0
-
I just bought that dress for my boyfriends Marine Corps Ball! Same color too. I love it. I think its sexy without showing too much skin. Also not outrageously expensive0

You look great, but if you're a little uncomfortable about your tummy area, I have one word for you...SPANX! My daughter wore it to her prom, and it was just enough to up her confidence a little bit.0
-
I think you look gorgeous in it. Wear it and be proud of all your hard work.0

if you're worried about your tummy then take Tyra Bank's advice that every girl, no matter how big or small should own a pair of tummy flattening panties ) they sell them in small (i've never seen extra smalls) & i'm a size 2 but own a couple pairs for outfits that can't show any pouch or when you know there will be a lot of pictures & don't want to risk a bad angle making you look prego. ♥ ps- ubber cute dress. i love it.0

Thanks! you all are awesome. I think my date will be shocked to see me in it..I usually don't wear anything that really shows off my body...usually a t-shirt or some kind of flowy dress... I think he's going to love it, though. But He's not seeing it until the night of!0

You look gorgeous in that dress
I've been to many formal events, and I swear by my tummy holding granny panties and control top pantyhose. You feel a bit (a lot!) silly, but it helps0 -
Thanks ladies! I'll definitely consider the underwear thing.0
-
I LIKE IT!!0
-
Do you feel good in it? Because i say go for it! I dont see any clinging and think it fits you to a T!
I do feel pretty good in it! It just clings a little toward the lower tummy (combination of mostly extra skin and some fat)... I'm just afraid of looking icky... I've never worn anything like this before and thank you!
Hun, you've lost alot of weight and you look GREAT! I think this ^ is some residual insecurity from the way you used to feel before you lost weight. The best way to kick insecurity in the face is to do exactly that thing that you're afraid of doing. Wear the dress. You like it, it's gorgeous, and you're gorgeous in it. :flowerforyou:0 -
You look beautiful and that's a great color. Wear it girlfriend!0
-
I think it looks lovely! You really don't need Spanx, but you can avoid the dreaded pantyline issue with Spanx, and they do provide some control. Target carries a less expensive version that is quite a bit more comfortable0
