arm measurement

I feel like I have small arms compared to others, relaxed is 10 1/8 and flexed I 10.75. My bench press is increasing but no change in arms. Curious to hear what some other peoples arm sizes to see where I stand. Thanks

Where are you taking the measurement? At the center of your upper arm (mid point between elbow and shoulder)?0

I'm measuring the biggest part of the bicep, probably midway0

To be honest I think your doing well. I mean your starting out if your trying to bulk up it'll take time...But as a women my upper arm is 13.5 inches...and they are not toned.....its all fat....Over the past couple months I've noticed that they have decreased.....

Noticeable hypertrophy can take a very VERY long time. In all reality, it's just as much nutrition as it is lifting.
I was at 17.5 flexed as of my last measurement last month, but I have a fair amount of fat on my arms still. I wouldn't be shocked if it's actually dropped since then. I don't bother with unflexed measurements, as pretty much every standard for it is in flex.0 -

Well, luckily for me, being a fat guy working a manual labor job for years helped me to keep a good amount of muscle on. Carrying all of this extra *kitten* around isn't easy. Lol. Now I just have to get rid of another 50 pounds so I can actually see said muscles.0 -

16" flexed, no pump.
For the record, even .5" gain in arm measurement (when lean, mind you) is significant and very noticeable.0 -

16.25" flexed, cold. About 17 after a workout. It would be wonderful to have that as a cold measurement.0

It takes time, I'm sure you will start to slowly bulk as you increase your weight. I started out at 13.5" but it was mostly fat, I'm down to 12. 75" with a solid amount of muscle. Even that decrease of fat with adding muscle took about 9 months though, so the results may be as slow with bulking. But you'll get there! Good luck!0

Please don't take this the wrong way, but you currently weigh 143lbs and want to weight 135lbs. That's really not a recipe for big guns, unless you're about 3' tall!0

My biceps are 16.5" relaxed and about half fat half muscle. I think if I got rid of most of the fat, they would measure 12".0

I would suggest that you don't eat in a calorie deficit at this point.0

my frame is very small and carry all my weight in my stomach and with my frame it really shows in my midsection. I'm not trying to bulk much just so they don't look like toothpicks. With my waist at 26" that keeps my weight lower
Fair enough not wanting to bulk massively, but at your height, you could easily be 150-160lbs without being overly bulky.
Obviously what you want is entirely up to you, but I think realistically you're going to have to choose between being a bit bigger and heavier, or being lighter. If you train right, you'll get a bit bigger and heavier, without putting it around the waist.
As an example, I've competed at weights ranging from about 87kg to 100kg*, with the same waist size.
*That's 190-220 for those of you who like lbs.0 -
I am 6' 240 mine are 17.5 cold flex about 18.5 after workout. Bench pressing is more for chest than arms, do curls and triceps works out to increase arm size the tri workouts really enhance what you have...0

5'10 and my arms are now a pretty lean 14". Was sad watching them shrink as I lost my body fat but now I am adding weight and will hopefully see some growth in muscle mass.0

Not OP here but from someone that weighs pretty much the same, I'm 5'6" with 14" arms flexed at 140lbs (last I checked may be 14.25 now (bulking), so it can be done, if he isn't tall. At the end of my cut I was 134, arms were 13.75 flexed then.0 -

I've started upping my protein intake so that may help, I went 3 months eating only fruits and veges and a little lean protein. I'm shooting for 13" arms, think that would be a good fit for my body0

I think 12.5" not flexed, and I'm 5'10". BF% matters, though. I'd rather have them smaller and see my tricep, than bigger and flabby, though.0
