Hey I have 4 a day, breakfast morning snack lunch and dinner.
In my opinion and I am sure many will argue this point, I dont think it matters how many times you eat a day, as long as it works for you! If you are findning that you are hungry incorporate two snacks. :flowerforyou:0 -
and with that said, I almost always have an extra apple or a sweetie or something somewhere. x0

You can have as few or as many as you want as long as you stay within your calorie goal (or within a small variation of it).
I generally eat twice a day with maybe a snack in between if I am hungry.0 -
I'm not satisfied if I just have small meals all the time. Tried it and it doesn't work for me. I have two decent sized meals a day, with a few super healthy snacks inbetween. That's what works for me anyway0

3 meals and generally 2 snacks. Agree w/the above folks - whatever works for you and as long as you stay within your daily goal calorie wise.0
-
3-4 times a day.0
-
Breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner. Sometimes second snack...but I'm defining snacks here as things like apples/clementines.0
-
3 meals, 3 snacks. I'm eating every 3 hours. Very active lifestyle.0

when im dieting i eat six .. its a pain sometimes because i have to plan it all out and my days are always so consumed with work ect ... but if i dont plan it out like that and i dont eat all the time then i binge eat fast food ect ...0

5-7 meals.0

I usually eat a breakfast, noon, supper meal... then I have a 100-200 calorie snack in between (an apple, some almonds, flax pretzels, etc). This seems to work for me because it keeps me from getting hungry between meals.
BUT...yesterday, some one was very rude to me in a forum and told me repeatedly that I should not be "snacking" so much.. so I say, I what feels right to you.0 -
I always have breakfast, then something around lunchtime and my proper cooked dinner in the evening. None of it is set in stone though....I just do what I feel like or what fits in on any particular day.0

i have breakfast, occassional morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, prework out snack, dinner.0 -
I don't eat any regular meals..just grab it when I can - a disabled wife and 4 servants of chaos (sorry, meant to put kids! ) means my mealtimes are more of a grab-it-as-you're passing although I do try and eat my evening meal within a two hour window between 8 and 10pm.... But,hey,i'm still losing and have lost more since being on here than any other method i've tried!0

I eat whenever I like, sometimes it'll be 8 or 9 times in a day sometimes 1 or 2 times.
I dont think it matters when you eat though. Just do what feels right xx0 -
I usually have lunch and dinner, plus evening snack, or breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus evening snack. I might have other snacks during the day if I'm off my normal routine. It doesn't matter how many you have a day though, just find a way that suits you, and helps you reach your goals.0

Sometimes it's only five, but I try to eat six small meals a day and I drink LOTS of water.0

I'm eating constantly - see my diary.0

5.....ish.....0

6 or so usually.0

Funny I just added my snacks back into my plan..for me its a mind game as long as I know I can have them I'm ok. If I need it I have something if not I don't. I am diabetic tho so I like to play it safe. Very individualized ...good luck and do whatever you feel works tor you :-)0

I usually have 4 meals and 1 or 2 snacks.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper and a few nibbles throughout the day. But can depend on how hungry I am. Sometimes its 3 meals..ugh don't think it matters :-)0 -

^^^this for me too
somewhere between 1 and 4 with 2 being normal and coffee and water in between. depends how I feel, sometimes I graze, sometimes I fast, none of it seems to negatively impact on my weightloss or muscle gain and definition.0 -
pre exercise breakfast
post exercise breakfast
lunch
snack
dinner
pre exercise snack (only twice a week, when i have to cycle home 5 miles from work at 10pm so will usually take an oat cookie or something to eat beforehand)0 -
4 - 6 depending on my schedule Sometimes 3 bigger meals, but not often...I prefer to split it all up! ALWAYS breakfast, lunch and dinner, then one or two snacks!0
-
I try to eat every 2-4 hours. I got my breakfast, usually around 7 or 8am, elevenses around 10 to 11am, lunch 1-3pm, after lunch snack (usually just a fruit or something), dinner anywhere between 4 and 6pm, and small snack around 8pm (usually a protein shake).
Eating small portions often fills me up better, keeps the metabolism going and keeps me from feeling hungry.0 -
I eat three meals a day and normally try to get two or three snacks in as well, but like others have said I don't think it really matters what time you eat. My personal reason for trying to eat smaller portions more regularly is to try and control digestive system issues I have.0

3 meals, 3 snacks, 3 hours apart.0

I tend to go with 3 meals a day with calorie limits for break fast and lunch of around 3-400 and then main meal in the evening of around 600 - but that will vary - like fridays are curry night so soars to 1,000. I'll snack but to a quota so i do not exceed my daily calorie target, so its not a case of how much you snack but what you snack.0

4-8 depending on the day.0
