Is it still a "cheat" meal if I'm within my calorie goal?

But more importantly, what is it about spanish rice and corn that you determine is unhealthy?

ask your speed-bagged man parts what's so bad about corn, they'll tell you...

    I think this response wins.

If it fits in your macros, how is it a cheat?

Also - why is it "bad" to eat a food that you want? Why is white rice bad? Why is corn bad? Why is oil bad?

Between this, water, and diet soda, my computer now has cancer. Thanks.

How is a food unhealthy? I mean aside from ingesting say...arsenic.

And diet soda, don't forget diet soda.

    BWAHAHAHA love!

Not that they're bad...i just try to limit my intake on these.

If you are within your goal, you want it, eat it.

If you need reassurance besides all the helpful support here  check this.

As long as it fits in my goal, I don't consider it a cheat! :-)

That definitely includes halloween candy this time of year...and I'm still losing.

    Enjoy! It sounds yummy

I have been craving arroz con maiz (spanish rice w/corn) all day....so I'm making it as I type this up.

Even though the dinner works within my calorie goal, is still considered a cheat meal because it is not healthy? Either way...I'm indulging

What do YOU consider a "cheat" meal? That's the main question. A cheat meal, cheat day, cheat weekend, whatever you want call it is a personal thing. I personally have no "off limit" foods, so anything within my calorie limit is fine, and even if I go over on my calories a little here and there is fine and not a "cheat" day.

Ah, so it's not bad, even though you said "it is not healthy" and you think it is cheating on your diet. That completely makes sense.

I wouldn't count it as one. I only see it as such if I'm purposefully going over my calorie / macro goals for a one-off.
Since you fit it into your daily calories, I don't see the issue.
Oil isn't bad, neither is white rice. Sure you can limit it, as you mentioned, but just because you want to limit it, doesn't mean it's bad or cheating.
