    try buying electrical tape,tape one layer of tape around your current earring(8g) eventually you'll keep adding layers of tape and get to a 6g painlessly and slow.I've done this for when i went from 4g to 2g and 2g to 0.I'm at 00's right now and have been for a year in a half.

    Wow I had no idea! I always figured that without the plug you'd have these dangling loops of skin. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing!

    My son has gaged ears..he went quite large at one time. When he took the plugs out he did have dangling loops of skin. Ewww. The longer you leave the plugs out it starts to shrink (to the cat's but hole stage) equally ewww. Now he has them gaged at a 'sensible' size.
