Do you see MFP as a Diet of a Lifestyle change?

Lifestyle change!
I have gone on and off diets and the weight always came back. Diet=temporary. A lifestyle change is a success you can hold forever!

It's an educational tool for me. Since I plan to keep using it once I hit goal weight, I see it as a lifestyle change. I've lost weight plenty of times, but I've never maintained at any weight since before I was a teenager, so I will need MFP even more once I hit goal.0

definitely a lifestyle change, although i think a lot of us come here wanting help with weight loss and then our goal transforms into fitness, not just weight loss, and then it becomes a lifestyle change. you can literally witness that transition in the forums every day.0

I see it as a lifestyle, I have learned how to pay attention to what I eat. Most diets tell you how to eat, even Weight Watchers gives you a set of guidelines to follow although you can eat what you want within those. MFP allows me to make choices based on how I am feeling, example... this morning I wanted a bagel sandwich so I got one, but I only ate half of it because I was aware of the calorie count. The upside is that I finished out my breakfast with an apple and a chai latte and am completely satisfied. In addition I have half an egg sandwich for tomorrow too.0

Lifestyle for sure. Diets dont work longterm0

total life style change. I eat nothing like I used to. No more processed foods, no refined sugars...I feel so good, there is NO going back.0
-
Both. It changed my life and it also helped me to understand food.0

Hate the word diet, this is a change in lifestyle, a journey to health, and certainly NOT a diet!!0

I came here initially to lose weight. But, now it's turning more into a lifestyle. My goals keep moving as I reach them. I can't believe that I once was really happy 15 lbs heavier. But, I totally was. I just keep making new goals and hitting them. I don't know if it ends. Lol. I don't mean weight loss, as an example, now I'm working on lowering body fat, not really weight.0

Both really....0

I see it as a lifestyle change. Diet is the way you eat everyday.... not a "fad" that ends up making you feel deprived of something.0
-
MFP is a tool helping with my diet. I don't have the hatred of the word diet. I use it as originally intended - diet = what I eat. If you want to call how I've changed what and how much I eat a lifestyle change, go ahead.0
-
It depends on the user. I see most using it was a dieting tool but have also seen many that is a life style changer.0
